Olive yearns to know more about the world, Fallen wants to know less, Rainsnap feels haunted by it, and Bat wants to find her place in it.
All four cats find their truths are all entwined by the shadows of their ancestors and searching for the truth might be their only chance to be free of their inherited curses.

My entry for @harriertail ‘s cover contest! I’ve had this cover idea in mind for ages and finally had a good excuse for drawing it! (One day I’ll post the story here.)

Rainfall! He is a Riverclan warrior in the gathering at the opening of Mapleshade's Vengeance, who growls at the she cat and whispers murderous threats in her ear. I know the clans in this time period were more war prone but he seems particularly bloodthirsty and threatens to kill every member of Thunderclan haha. For that reason and because I wanted to design according to his naming I made him a melanistic bengal even though I know that is pretty much impossible let me live my fantasy ok all these cats should be so inbred that they have shortened lifespans but we let that slide all the time

Lightpaw, the soon-to-be Willow Keeper! (Played by Ishe)
How will Lightpaw lend to the creation of YAWRP's first unique high position? He will have to learn from his Clanmates to understand his own place in the world as well as help StormClan work through grief lingering from a battle before his birth. He may be young now, but Ishe has some interesting things cooking!
“StormClan, our dead are not gone. They are in the willow’s roots, in the lake’s lullaby, in the petals of each snowdrop.”
The Willow Keeper will become a unique figure within StormClan: a guardian of memory and caretaker of death. This role centres around tending to the Willow Burial Grounds, ensuring the respectful preparation of bodies, maintaining the sacred spaces where our dead rest, and providing emotional and spiritual guidance to the grieving. Where the medicine cat communes with StarClan, the Willow Keeper honours the earth-bound part of mourning - the physical body, the returning to the earth, the silence left behind.

With a tough leafbare now finished, the cats of PineClan are relieved for easier seasons again. With FernClan and the newly formed BrightClan now finally at a tentative peace, the Clans together once more are readying apprentices into their newly expanded world, with Acornpaw among them. However, Acornpaw isn't alone, as a starry-pelt cat guides her paws and tells of her a destiny she's always been slated for.
However, tensions between the new and old Clans stays strained, all of which is thrown into chaos after the sudden deaths of Fidgetstar and Palethicket, leaving PineClan seemingly without leadership. No one is left to fill their pawsteps, things are left in disarray as eyes turn to StarClan for guidance.
But as a new dawn rises, the visions given to the Medicine Cats becomes clear. Acornpaw is to lead them to their new future. As PineClan rejoices their newly found guidance, only few are left to wonder- what act of StarClan would allow an untrained apprentice to lead them?

My entry for @harriertail 's cover contest! I've never done an actual honest to God landscape before so. I'm both pleased and surprised I managed to get this done!
