So I’ve been listening to an audiobook of Moby Dick in my downtime, and omg this book is weird. Like prepare yourself for it being super racist, but it’s also intensely gay??? The main character gets gay married to his Pacific Islander roomie like the night after he meets him???? Also I just got to the part with Captain Ahab and omg he is so Extra™ like he actually throws his pipe overboard because it doesn’t fit with his ~*~aesthetic~*~ Let me tell you Great American Literature is wild

No Coffee

I haven't had coffee in three weeks. I cheated on my sugar intake, but I'm more impressed that I haven't had coffee in so long!

Honestly the best piece of advice I can give to younger girls trying to figure life out is to completely ignore men. I’m not being quirky or cute when I say that, I mean it seriously. Ignore men’s judgments of you, ignore their insincere compliments, ignore their half-assed romance. Focus on developing yourself. Practice your art, play sports, do theater, volunteer, spend time with your friends, but do not put substantial effort into pleasing men. They’ll be there for you to pursue when the time comes and if you want to. But nothing will waste your youth more than fighting for male acceptance.

Moana and Harry Potter

I wore my near Deathly Hallows shirt today and we went to see "Moana." Saw a girl coming out of the movie and her shirt said, "I solemnly swear I am up to no good." So I stared her down--with a mouth full of red vines--and gurgled/shouted at her, "I like your Harry Potter shirt!" And she said, "I was just going to say I like your Harry Potter shirt!" Win.
