The 2024 Gender Census is now open!

The 11th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th June 2024.

It’s short and easy, about 5 minutes probably.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful - it’s what helped us get 40,000 responses last year.

yuuji adores collecting. if you were ever in the same place as him (aka twst or your own world), he’d be a casual collector of your stuff, nothing creepy or gross, but for the most part he just likes it in general. he’s a chronic kleptomaniac.

overall, his favorite things to collect are soda can tabs, pressed flowers (either given to him or made himself), and alarm clocks. he would actually really enjoy the white rabbit fest!

he also likes to game in his spare time, and enjoys casual rpgs and rhythm games. also, as previously mentioned, he likes to listen to music! sadly most of this stuff he doesn’t have much time to do, already occupied by keeping grim and adeuce out of trouble, and being an unlicensed impromptu therapist.

What would happen if you get dropped in TWST. Would Yuuji know your player right away or later on? How would he react especially with the other characters intersecting with them?

Yuuji would sense you even before spotting you with his eyes. He woke up, expecting the usual routine of you logging into the game and grinding the latest event or doing your weeklies, but your presence… your aura… your warmth… simply wasn’t there.

What…? Panic flooded his senses, the dam of his dread bursting. Even when you were idly on your device, even if you happened to delete the game, there was always a part of you lingering. Always with him. But not this time. He felt like he was back to his old self again— an empty husk. Soulless, without purpose.

His heart and mind raced, delirious and desperate for even an ounce of you. Where had you gone? Why was this happening? Were you ever coming back? Did you leave him all by his lonesome; to rot?

But before he could start a rampage and spiral down a path he could not go back from, a comforting heat akin to a hearth was draped over him like a blanket.

It was different than usual. Still you, still familiar, but somehow distant. Yet calling to him. This feeling was beckoning him closer, leading him hopefully to your whereabouts.

When he finally found you, asleep on the newly renovated Ramshackle… he wasn’t mad. He would never be mad at you, glorious you. In fact, he was the opposite. Immense release washed over him, so much so he began to well up with tears. This was more than he could ever ask for…!

You, whom he devoted himself wholly to, laid right in front of him! Oh, you looked simply divine, eyelashes fluttered closed and chest rising up and down with each breath.

Yuuji had never seen you before, but somehow, he knew. It was you.

And it would certainly be a shame if the others found out about your arrival… Nobody had to know. You were finally his, finally here in the flesh, and he’d be damned to ever let you go.

HI GUYS UM HI IM BACK??! I THINK!! anyways here’s another Yuu. not a Yuusona per se, but just a guy™️. i’ll add some more doodles and headcanons below! :) CW: Slight Fourth Wall Breaking, Yandere Shenanigans

Yuuji lives and breathes to serve you, and only you. He didn’t feel anything until you. You gave him a purpose. To be yours.

Whenever the player (you) logs on, he has to drop whatever he’s doing (like eating, as shown above) and just go into “^_^” mode.

Those eyes have absolutely no thoughts behind them.

Will respect your wishes and your favorite character, and can change his personality to suit to your whims. Even if it is indeed, a facade. 

The characters themselves can look past his appearance and actually see you for who you are. The ‘Overseer’.

Actually doesn’t mind Grim & is strangely fond over him. (totally not projecting)

He absolutely hates physical contact from any of the characters but will bask in your praise and caresses if you ever did manage to touch him.

He is very very self aware, and sometimes tries to sabotage or help your gacha pulls/battles. Depending on how dedicated you are towards said character. Even sometimes twst-tunes. Oh, the game glitched out and didn’t register your touch? I wonder who did that…

All of it is to spend more time with him. To possess him for longer. You make him feel so warm, so needed.
