Just got messaged by single-handedly the most dim witted scammer I think I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately I can’t show screenshots without breaking TOS, but he said he was going to give me $1200 but needed me to but him a $50-$100 apple gift card to “verify.” Not only that, but he every single one of his messages was riddled with typos. I don’t even know what to report this guy for.

I don’t like being mean. But I think part of my family is. Suffering from a lack of. Knowledgeability.

I bring up a concept.

“What if Evil isn’t really a thing, and is just a lack of Good? Like how Cold is just an absence of Heat?”

“Cold isn’t an absence of heat” the 5 family members around me agree on (all of which are older than me by the way)

I explain that Heat just speeds up particles, and with less heat the particles slow down and age slower as a result, like milk aging slower in a fridge. None of them understand this.

I compare it to the concept of cryogenic freezing and absolute zero. They still don’t get it.

And then, my favourite quote from this whole conversation comes out, “If Cold is just a concept, then why do we have negative degrees?”
