So I heard Lion Forge is no longer doing the VLD comics… I don’t think they ended up publishing this cover I did back in early 2018, but I’m still quite happy with it so I thought I would share!

Keith’s body moved its own. Before its owner could give it a second thought. He reached out and curled his fingers around Lance’s upper arm. He pulled gently to stop the other.

Keith realised what he did, his eyes went wide and his breath hitched. But it was done.

“Don’t go,” he whispered.

instantly he paused, looking over his shoulder with his brow raised & question on his lips, only for any & all words to die before they could even form. he blinked once, twice, head tilting to the side as he took in this stranger. 

             “do....i know you?” he finally questioned, brows furrowing in confusion as the sheer familirarity in the other’s gaze kept him rooted to the spot.

     ❛ maybe you could try aiming for the training droid and not ME. ❜ he’s also about to suggest that voltron can probably do just fine without a leg. but keith has to curb his backchat, their training dummies don’t seem to be fans of that when they swing for him, and catch the edge of his bayard. it’s followed up by clangs and the sharp grit of swordplay, before the red gets too impatient and KICKS the thing in lance’s direction while it’s guard is down. maybe he won’t miss a big, tumbling target. he doesn’t have much faith.

        “you’re the one in MY way!” he snarked back, trying valiantly not to look keith’s way. it wasn’t worth getting shot at just to throw a glare at the other. “i had it if you didn’t make it move!” he had no qualms about bickering like this, backtalking & focusing his irritation on the one who obviously needed to be put down a peg or two. or three ----- or maybe a few hundred because who just kicks things like that?! 

          “why would you---” he couldn’t even finish his surprised squawk, lifting his bayard & shooting at the bot, jiltering its momentum just enough for him to get out of its way, shooting it all the while. as soon as the bot went down, he turned to the other paladin, gesturing wildly. “what was that?!”
