I have eight pairs of pants

I was folding clothes, and I realized I have eight actual pairs of pants that fit me.

I’m being sappy about it because I don’t know that I have ever had an adequate amount of real pants to wear in a week’s time. For so long, I really only had random, hand-me-down sweatpants. At one point, I was wearing and washing the same pair of sweatpants every day for work. 

Pretty much all of my adulthood I’ve had to cycle between sweatpants and 1 pair of jeans that kinda fit me that I would save for when wearing sweatpants was just not appropriate. 

Clothing shopping as a kid was always strictly budgeted where I’d *maybe* get 1-2 pairs of pants a year that I would outgrow in 6-8 months and then be stuck with thieving my siblings and mom’s oversized pants to be able to not wear the same 2 pairs of tight, poorly fitting pants for the rest of the year. 

My mom almost altogether stopped shopping for me when I was 13-14 and I really just had to hold on tight to any clothing I had in hopes that it would continue to be able to work all while trying to dress in a way that I was even slightly comfortable with style-wise. 

Since then, I really have survived on the odd pair that I could afford and things that fell into my lap from other people. I finally started buying myself clothes in 2021. Slowly buying a pair of pants here and there (and feeling so so guilty about it). I recently got backpay from my job and had money to do more than just pay bills....I bought myself 2 rounds of pants. Four pairs of pants. 

So now I have 8 pairs of pants. I am guessing that is a normal amount of pants, I do not really know. But holy shit, I can wake up and I just....have pants to wear?! and I like them?! and they fit me?!

current avatar pic, courtesy of free time before my online therapy session this past week. tumblr is so different or I forgot how to use it?   (no those are not Barbie Dolls in the back what would make you think that?)  Like am I making this up or didn’t Tumblr used to have an option/button to take you to a random blog? Maybe I just miss StumbleUpon so much that the memory is leaking into other sites idk.

OKAY.

Lol since my age 15-20 Tumblr obsession, I haven’t successfully been back. Meaning I either abandoned every blog I’ve created or have been locked out of old accounts lmao. SO HERE WE GO. I have no idea what I am going to make out of this blog just yet. I’ll do an intro post soon that I will have as a link on my page.
