Cure Luna? Also tell me more about how things are complicated in the family. (Moon's Kids AU)

AAAA YES OK SO

luna didn't make the tantabus in this au, it already existed. it's a hungry little creature that feeds on negative thoughts and feelings, and it latched on to luna. it made everything worse and worse until she basically checked out, whereupon it took over. it's goal was to make everybody in the world feel horrible, so that way it could gorge itself on that sweet sweet misery. celestia figured this out many years later after LOADS of research, and figured out a way to separate the tantabus from its host and kill it.

lots of feelings going around in the family, so i'll break it down.

celestia: she didn't tell her niece and nephew about the tantabus. how could she?? she didn't know it existed until now. she still hasn't said anything. it's a conversation that should happen in person once everyone is home together. she's started to distance herself from twilight and shining. they're not her kids, after all, they're her sister's. she may have fed them, taught them, held them when they cried, and sure, maybe she loves them more than life itself, but that's a normal thing for an aunt taking care of her niece and nephews. she certainly doesn't feel like they're her own kids, haha. ...right? anyways, they must be so happy to reconnect with their mother, they won't have time for her anyways.

shining: he's got a whole lot of resentment and abandonment issues stewing about. from his perspective, his mother just stopped loving him and twi and left, leaving aunt tia to raise them. he's currently living with cadence, his girlfriend of three years, and has no plans to go home. he doesn't think he can see luna without screaming at her, and he just really needs that part of his life to be over for good.

twilight: from twi's perspective, there is suddenly a stranger in her house that everyone is calling her mom, and everyone expects her to be happy and excited about this, but aunt tia- her real mom- is pulling away from her. twi has no memories of luna before she became nightmare moon. she's angry and just really confused, and she can't even leave the castle for a break from all this without someone insisting she take luna with her for "bonding".

luna: luna's time within the tantabus is like a hazy dream. she blinked and suddenly 300 years have gone by. her children are young adults who either want nothing to do with her or don't remember her. her subjects are terrified of her. twilight looks at her with this horrible blank confusion, and shining won't even send her a letter. everything is wrong, and nothing is the same as it was last time she was lucid.

au where twilight and shining are luna's kids?

twilight's name is changed to twilight star and shining's to shining knight (teehee night)

twi was only a year or so old when luna turned into nightmare moon. in this au, it was only about 300 years before celestia figured out how to cure luna from the tentabus and brought her back.

things are.... complicated. between luna and her kids.

So so after seeing some tok toks and reading some fanfics you know what would be probably angsty but a good idea a MLP fanfic with the song "Once more to see you" by Mitski (I think that's the name of the song), the ship I thought first is Prince Blueblood x Shining Armor because idk I started to like Blueblood a little because he's not that bad and I read some fanfics about him and Shining they were good.

So the songs says something like "But with everybody watching us, our every move

We do have reputations

We keep it secret

Won't let them have it" It could fit them like gay and in a sense it would be like a prince x guard? And if you do it in a semi-homophobic alternate universe and make it a good forbidden love where they're not supposed to be together because Blue is "royalty" and Shining is just a guard so they are not supposed to be together because they are stallions and different social classes and aja.

And then there's the other lyrics "So come inside and be with me, alone with me

Once more to see you" It's a really good song.

Although maybe it could also fit Cadance x Shining because apparently if I remember correctly I think not many people knew that Shining and Cadance were dating so the wedding was a surprise specially for Twilight and If they started dating before Shining was even a guard you could say that the princess of love was with some random stallion. So it could make an angsty story for them to maybe less gay?

Both ideas are really good in my mind obviously I would prefer my first option because it sounds like it could get more angst than comfort gayer and angsty maybe with its hurt/comfort like I said it could get more angst than comfort-er? idk but yeah.

I hope someone enjoys reading my ideas that I came up with just today. Yeah

Finally done with the Canterlot Wedding cast

Princess Cadance I leaned a bit more into her being the ruler of the crystal empire and gave her crystal hooves. I think she would've looked even better with a crystal horn. Might have to do another version at some point.

Shining Armor Didn't change much, but I like him much better like this lol

Queen Chrysalis Sorry, no cheese legs. I wanted to lean more into the insect aspect of her. I tried to make her hair look like thick spider webs, but idk if that really comes across lol
