> Dave: Be the hero. Save the day.
You never expected things to end this badly. You thought the Doc had this under control. Didn't he?
Well, obviously not, because here you are in your spider-suit, ready to shut him down. Whatever. It doesn't matter now. As long as you get this situation under control and nobody gets hurt.
Speaking of which, Norman Osbourne is kind of standing there like an idiot waiting for metal sheeting to cut him in half. You swing down from the ceiling and scoop up the all too familiar man, narrowly taking him out of the line of fire as a large sheet of shrapnel flies through the spot where he just was like a saw blade.
Dropping him off by the entrance, you shoo him out the door. "get out of here!! ill handle this"
Then you swing back into the building, landing by Doctor Octavius and the machine.
"DOC YOU GOTTA SHUT IT DOWN" You yell to him over the sound of crunching metal and concrete. It's pretty futile, you realize, but you'd rather try than just give up on him. When he doesn't respond, you look around, kind of hoping to see a giant red 'power down' button, or maybe a huge plug in the wall. Of course there's not. Why can't scientists ever do something practical like that?
Looks like your only chance is the control panel. Running over to it, you take a quick survey of the controls before you just start pressing things. You really should've asked him to show you how this thing works.

> Dave: Be the interloper.
This is bad. Your spidey sense is going crazy, and there's a concerned murmur running through the onlookers. You watch the ceiling lamps bending toward the gravity of the reaction while slowly taking your backpack off your shoulder and putting your camera away. Your spider-suit is in there, and you quietly take note of its position while instinctively checking that your web slingers are equipped.
You take a step forward, trying again to call out to Doctor Octavius. "hey doc somethings wrong here maybe you should -"
You're cut off by a solar spike lashing out of the containment unit. It strikes a deep gash in a wall, setting off an explosion of cement and metal. Someone screams, setting off a ripple of panic across the room. The crowd scatters, running and shoving. The Doc stays put, focused on his experiment. His experiment that's now causing the walls to bow inward.
Everyone's in danger, including him. You look around for a place to change before running back into the mess of panicked humanity and disappearing.

> Dave: Bear witness.
Your palms clutching at your camera are sweaty with anticipation. It might also have something to do with the large mass of humanity you're currently occupying. Scientists, investors, reporters, and media personalities crowded around the spectator area, collectively humming with ecstatic interest and prescience.
The camera in your hands is more habit than anything, as you watch Doctor Octavius, a personal hero of yours, present his experiment. He pulls the cover off of the robotic arms and you snap a shot with a wide grin. Of course, you saw them beforehand, but to not be excited would just be ridiculous at this point. You feel amazingly lucky for this opportunity. Normally you'd have no chance of seeing this in action, much less getting a front row seat and vip treatment.
Holy shit, those fuckin arms are so cool. You take another picture as they start to move. Eat your heart out, Iron Dick.
If this experiment works, it'll be the beginning of unlimited energy. You might even get to work with the Doc on it in the future. He's so cool, and he doesn't seem annoyed with you at all, which is a boon to be sure.
He moves over to the reactor and begins the experiment, firing up the reaction in the contained machinery. Another picture. Oh man, that's so cool. You take several pictures in rapid succession as a tiny sun blossoms to life under a brilliant scientists guiding hands.
Peering through the lens, you frown for a second. That doesn't look right. You push your sunglasses up on top of your head to get a better look, zooming in on the scene. Oh man. That really doesn't look right.
"uh hey doc...." You call out to him, but he doesn't seem to hear you. He probably knows, though. You're certain this was all planned. Probably.

Quote
Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding. The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self kind of understanding.
