Highkey annoyed that the balders gate 3 Fandom has made any discussion on Mystra absolutely fucking terrible to sit through, because the games very OOC writing of her is now the most popular depiction of her. So anyone who tries to talk about how the writing of BG3's mystra makes no sense gets dogged on, and anyone who tries to talk about Mystra within the FORGOTTEN REALMS outside of bg3 always has the conversation go back to the game. Or people pulling out the same 2 stories written by a misogynist as an excuse to write off a goddess who's not just supposed to be a good aligned goddess, but can very easily be read as a r*pe victim aligory in the VERY STORY that BG3 pulls from (Karsus' Folly)

Like I get that BG3 exploded outside the d&d player base, and even then not everyone who plays d&d cares about the lore or reads the forgotten realms books- it's just annoying that it's impossible to talk about one of my favorites figures in the mythos without everyone shouting about her being a groomer now bc Larian decided to fucking dog on her and EVERYONE acts like that completely erases her existence outside of this one game

so rusty rose theory of having the backstory where she was kidnapped on little planet but never saved is based 10/10 bUT personally, i think its going to be tied back closer to SA1. or at the very least i think itll make more sense that way

if sonic doesnt go to little planet, Amy’s cards never tell her she’ll find friendship and true love if she goes there. so amy never goes there at all. 

BUT if theres no sonic and tails, theres no one to get her off the Egg Carrier. I think if theyre going to follow the theme of “what if X character never met Sonic” it would make way more sense for Amy to have been just a normal civilian that tried to help Birdie escape from Zero and get their family back, but without her past experiences with Sonic she didnt have the tools and experience necessary to pull it off. After all, if shes never kidnapped by Metal Sonic or having Sonic spark a love of adventure and give her the determination to follow those dreams, she never really picks up her piko piko hammer. She never hones her abilities as an acrobat and fighter. But what she *does* will have is her endless empathy and compassion driving her to help a little Bird who needs it.

Except it goes wrong, for whatever reason. She just isnt capable of doing this. Not as she is in this timeline. So she’s captured. She’s experimented on. She’s killed- and that same little bird who she sacrificed herself to help now sacrifices itself in turn to save her life, becoming her heart.

The line “Birdie would disagree” to me implies some sense of voluntary compliance on its part- but i also didnt watch the Roblox premier I’ve only seen snippets that have been posted around online, so my feelings may change once I see the episode and have full context.

Rosy the Rascal would have been a much more interesting character and more thematically in line with the other anti characters if she was in love with scourge rather than wanting to kill him. Instead of making her whole personality being that she's Crazy and murderous, she could have been a dark mirror of amy's selfless love for sonic by making rosy willing to do anything scourge asked- do anything no matter how twisted or evil so long as it was FOR scourge and his happiness.

Idk I just feel like there are so many ways you can turn something as pure as love into something sick and twisted, and the way they handled rosy felt more like they were just parodying and shitting on Amy's character rather than giving her an anti that fit in with the others thematically- who were all basically the exact same person as their counterparts with all the same core character traits, they just used them to act like jackasses instead of heroes.
