apparently st anthony is the patron saint of lost and stolen items. he's also the patron saint of lost souls, the poor, travellers and amputees. additionally, he's invoked for finding one's spouse, pregnancy, harvests, animals, the sick, the disabled and the oppressed. interesting

ngl i love stories about family healing, particularly ones about healing relationships between fathers and their sons. something something about the issues i have with my own dad

he's got the same old timey charm as tim curry in clue and i'm so here for it

it's giving just a smidgen of berries and cream but yk i don't mind it

also i love the themes of this movie; how kids so often wish to be older but how older people want to be younger, how you're looked down at as kids, how things only get more complicated as you grow up, generational trauma

'lose their tongues until i choose to find them again' is such a cool line. some of his dialogue is so cool

i love this movie. it has some great messages and some really fun practical effects too. it's also surprisingly dark for a disney movie. if you're a fan of campy vintage horror, i'd say give it a watch
