One of the lovely things about getting kudos emails from AO3 is that if you think you recognize someone's name who kudos'd a fic, you can search your email and see if they kudos'd any others.

I just got an AMAZING comment on one of my least read fics, and I checked the username and realized that the same person has been giving kudos every month or so to works in the same series I've been writing.

With more and more Ao3 authors restricting their works to the archive (due to AI scraping), they're going to be losing guest interaction. And probably generally feeling down because. You know. AI is stealing their hard work.

the thing that kept me going was that almost every, single time, the author always responds thanking me for the comment and gushing about what i found interesting in their fic!!!

it always leaves me so happy when i get a comment, and the fact that i can make other people happy is soso cool!!! :D
