“I kind of have to wonder what it would have been like to be human.” Michelle was just talking out loud to herself. Staring up at the starry sky from where she laid across some grass in a park. “Probably a lot of the same but with impending death I guess and all that.”

     “I use it sometimes when I talk to our siblings…” And she would use it during her job. She found it helped calm infant and child souls if she sang to them in it, so, she would if the need came up. Though, with her not doing her job anymore, she used it less often. She still wondered who took her place. It couldn’t have been Amenadiel, of that she was certain, and he has usually been the one to fill in if necessary for any of the tasks that had been given to her and her brothers and sisters. 

     “Lucifer has tried to convince me numerous times that Amenadiel is not how he once was, how Earth has changed him for the better.” There was no way Rae would know that for sure if she didn’t actually… go and visit him. And what better time than now? Plus, she’d have back up. “So, that’s planned then. We’re definitely going to see him and Charlie. I’m sure it’ll go great.” 

“Yeah, probably less lately though.” Then again she hadn’t quite been paying attention to everything. Especially since deciding to come to Earth. Maybe a bit of contact to make nothing wild was happening; feeling protective and watchful as ever. Plus to not feel lonely. But other than that not as attentive would have been up in the silver city. Time differences especially made it all a lot of work. 

Looked up at the sky before back at her sister. “Certainly has but seeing from a far isn’t the same as witnessing it.” Propping up just a bit to not be laying down as much. “For sure and I mean if it’s just them. Not so sure ready to see Samael yet- Lucifer.”

     “Do you ever miss Enochian?” Azrael asked her sister, using the language. “I do…” She added on, switching back to English. Heaven had never felt like home to her, but her happiest memories were from The Silver City. From long, long ago– before The Rebellion. Things had been… better. She had never known true pain, true regret, or rage in it’s purest form before that day. The monsters in the darkness hadn’t invaded her mind yet, a hug from her brother made everything okay, the feeling of the sun on her skin would make her smile. Rae sighed and looked up at the sky above them for a moment before giving her attention back to the other. 

       “I’ve not visited him yet either. You might be surprised by him though, from what some of our siblings have said. We could always go together? You know, we could both take on Amenadiel if he decides to go ‘I am the right hand of God!’ on us, but I don’t think he will. He’d probably like to see us.” 

“I used it all the time back home.” Enough that the words came easily; just as much it was to then go back to English. Yet not so much on Earth, did feel kind of like a missing piece but so did not flying back up countless times to check in and babysit everybody else. At the same time just didn’t know how to go back. To begin with everything that had shifted with time on Earth. 

Michelle was a bit surprised by that but supposed just because was a few earth bound siblings; didn’t mean they all actually kept in touch. “Fairly certain surprise would be all around, that would be nice and be a bit of self judgement to be had if he did get all righteous..”

It’s been good though – learning and studying and experiencing. I mean, sure, there’s been a lot of pain along the way, which comes with living no matter who you are, but some of the things I’ve seen are memories I hope I can keep forever.” 

     “I reckon that’s true…” Azrael hadn’t been home besides her job in so long…she had been keeping herself away from her siblings for so long in her self-imposed exile, that she wasn’t sure anymore. Seeing Michelle on Earth had been a pleasant surprise. She found herself nodding, “It sure does. If I can help in any way let me know, yeah? I’m sort of grounded here for the time being anyway.” 

“I actually really like it; some of it’s really beautiful or charming. Most languages have become way more fascinating than they used to be.” Of course that had been admirable even before recognized it as such. “So many different inflections; especially to conversate things like love.” Little nod at the rest, “Probably, if you don’t overdo it- cause it’s possible just harder for us angels.” 

Michelle leaned back; tucking an arm under her head. “Guess that’s a whole different experience though-.” A smile, “Yeah likewise, I do keep wanting go see our nephew but have a feeling wouldn’t hesitate to mess with everybody for fun first.”

   “I know, I just…” Oh boy. She had to start talking about feelings again. They had intensified so much since she fell, but that didn’t mean she was any better at actually explaining them. Azrael sat beside her sister. 

    “Being good with dead humans isn’t the same as being good with living humans. Dead ones are…predictable and certain in their ways. But the alive ones? They have so much life and I never know what they’re going to do next, and most of the time I have no idea what they’re talking about so I just stand there and nod my head and hope for the best.” She half smiled towards her sibling and took her hand in hers, “Some times were very difficult, but you learn along the way.” 

     “But what about you? You seem to be adjusting well to be here. On Earth. You look great, by the way. Are you…happy?” 

Feelings were complicated; had been learning that a lot since deciding to hang around earth more. Supposed not really a surprise; always had been complicated even if had been a stickler and rather colder. 

“They have similarities; suppose the living are immeasurably more complicated though.” Oh were they ever. Yet she loved it for the most part; was nothing like her siblings who always were very much uncomplicated. Or well that was probably the countless ages with them and how by nature they always tended to keep a lot of the same personality. “Fairly certain humans have us beat in that department.” 

Michelle gave a smile, “It’s weird, kind of got bored and only so many pointless conversations that can be had back home so figured why not.” Stretching her legs out; adjusting her outfit. “Thanks and honestly I think so; though certainly ups and downs.”
