(Considering that many people in Hisui are still fearful of Pokemon, imagine their reaction seeing something like... well, what Emmet is now. Concerned about how people might react to him, Volo keeps him stowed away at Ancient Retreat for now until they can learn more about this unfortunate mess. Volo will journey out on his own to Jubilife Village to meet with Warden Ingo, explain the current situation to him, and see if they can journey back to Ancient Retreat to see if Emmet really is this person he is recalling. And Emmet will totally stay behind at Ancient Retreat and not try to go off on his own to find this person he is looking for. Because he's not at all impatient and stir crazy just sitting around like a stalled out train waiting for Volo to return. Things will be totally fine! Nothing will go wrong!)
