The two Jacks at it again.
Twitter started rolling out Bitcoin tipping service to iOS users (coming in future for Android platform). Twitter users will be able to send Bitcoin through lightning network worldwide. The service is enabled by StrikeAPI and is compatible with Cash App, other third-party Bitcoin payment solutions and also with Square’s anticipated hardware wallet. Twitter will not charge any commission on these transactions as per the statement from the company.
Strike’s Jack Mallers announcing Strike API - wrote in a medium post that the mission of Strike is to help improving financial access and enhancing financial experiences for everyone in the world. He added that with Bitcoin and the Lightning Network, the world now has its first open, global, singular monetary protocol for everyone on the planet and what the internet did for communication, Bitcoin and the Lightning Network is doing for money.
"I will be forwarding all tips to my Twitter account to the Human Rights Foundation every week, with the exception of $10”, Jack said
“Why the $10?”
“Well, that’s how much a six-pack of beer costs. For the foreseeable future, every weekend, I’ll grab some beer and answer any questions you have for me on Twitter to say thanks for the tip.”
Strike api is now available for all merchants and business through early bird access. Though, some see this move as bullish for bitcoin, a few raises the question of how it will be different from what Facebook tried to do with Libra.

Apple launched an array of new devices along with the new iPhone 13 lineup in their California Streaming event happened today.
The fanboys will find it difficult to figure the want vs need to justify an upgrade as the new phones are almost indistinguishable from its predecessors. The notable features are in the camera upgrade and for Pro models - it is Pro Motion (120 Hz display) and ProRes video capturing. The one feature which stood out and Apple wanted to shine more spotlight on is the cinematic mode that automatically detects subjects in video and applies bokeh effects based on the focus of the subject.
Along with the usual suspects of their regular September iPhone event, Apple has also launched - a new base entry level 10.2″ iPad, a full screen 8.3″ iPad mini, a bigger screen Apple Watch Series 7. All the newly launched products go on sale at Apple Stores starting September 24th.
