Dead dove is allowed on tumblr the tags more often than not glitch and end up not getting filtered by people who have it blocked or don’t show the content in tags. Tumblr has always been dead dove. Authors are allowed to post whatever because just because they don’t post “normal” fanfiction doesn’t mean it’s not art that deserves notes.

Alright. Adding what I've said before in a different spot, I'm making some pretty big mistakes with knowing the details. I appreciate being told when I'm getting something wrong. Thank you.

Pretty sure I needa take a big step back outta something that's not my business. I really do appreciate your calling out my mistakes anon, and the same goes to the first anon as well! I'll observe from afar and keep from commenting on stuff like this that I'm most definitely not equipped to comment on.

BIG NOTE THAT I MIS-LABELLED THE PERSON'S CONTENT IN THIS POST! I was going *very* based off of my first thoughts/remembering vaguely things that were not at all reviewed, nor fact-checked! an anon was very helpful in pointing out my mistake! my thanks to them.

im just a person with opinions and shouldn't be seen as a reliable source of information nor am I saying I have the one and only "correct" opinions AT ALL. this was just me talking because i had thoughts on everything considering it was flooding my tags as i scrolled.

in reference to the shit going down in the leon kennedy tags, quick wordvomit of my opinions. feel free to scroll by if you're not interested! i know i'm a bit bothered by seeing it all in my tags.

idk how anyone can possibly expect people to be completely fine with seeing disturbing content whilst just scrolling. it's called disturbing for a reason. it will disturb people, this is basically unavoidable. the content you smack into general tags is going to be seen by the general public that scroll said tags. people will not like it. you will get negative attention. (whether that's what is wanted or not is a different question.)

if you're aware that your content is controversial/dead dove do not eat, which in this case, the person is, and you're purposefully pushing for the reach that authors who DO NOT POST content that is disturbing in the manner yours is has, you are going to find their audience. their audience isn't always your audience.

"fiction is fiction" blah blah blah. it still holds influence just like everything else. i dont think yall understand that point. regardless of whether you are writing about a real person or a fictional character, you are still spreading this content.

personally-

in the context of this person though, its my opinion that their writing comes off as glorification or romanticisation and should not be widespread. you do not need to be a content creator online. emotional/trauma-based outlets should be kept private. ESPECIALLY in the context of rape and other serious topics.

to clarify quickly, i dont like their content. it disturbs me, i won't be reading anything further than the snippets i did to get an idea of what was causing the trouble, but i wanted to comment. so i did 🤷‍♂️

She’s a victim herself. The fanfic is about a toxic relationship in which it is present as wrong and awful and codependent. It is not romanticising rape it presents it as the hard truth. You are being so damaging towards a victim by spreading this.

in posting their content online and actively spreading it, they open themself to comments of any sort. especially since they post for notes and followers (i'm saying this given their want to have their content have the same reach as other authors) i'm aware of the creator's status as a victim. ASSUMING their content is an outlet, my issue is that they actively seem to treat it like just another story, when the topics they cover are confronting and serious matters. how they treat the topic is relevant of course! the way they write it and its presentation is very important, and i openly admit that in my rambling i mis-labelled their content. that's my mistake, and i'm very sorry.

rethinking it with your words in mind, my issue isn't with what their content is. personally, it's not my cup of tea. that's fine. it feels like it is an outlet from my perspective. i'm completely fine with that, i've used writing as an outlet too.

with that, i do have to say that what i find problematic about their content is the way they present it. the whole reason this all bubbled up (if im getting this right) is because someone with a negative opinion of their content brought it to light and shamed it.

like i said in my first post. in putting their content out to general tags, they reach a general audience. and no matter the warnings, people not interested in their content will see those, and given that its a disturbing topic, be disturbed if it isn't their cup of tea. disturbed people like to talk. talking causes all of this.

its such a delicate area, i personally just feel that personal outlets are personal and don't belong in "leon scott kennedy x reader" type of spaces. nor do they belong online really at all when in an outlet format.

the fact that they write specifically x reader content that is rape and such is a whole 'nother problem i have personally with their type of content, but isn't that relevant now.
