crossovers between fifty shades & noir ✨

• well to start of..lots of similarities in terms of how much sex the couples have (although fifty shades is way more intense into bdsm)

• both jae and christian are well-known, respectable and filthy rich men (except the latter does it the proper way 😭)

• both can be very broody and indifferent on the outside to others but their soft spot is obv their girls. very overprotective of them except christian makes sure anastasia always has a bodyguard with her (like they will stand outside her office..)

• both jihyun and anastasia are headstrong and insists on working because they love what they do. heated arguments between couples regarding why they should not/want to work present for both 🫡

• both jae & christian had horrible pasts. christian watched his mum o/d and was with her dead body for three days. spent time in & out of foster homes, got sexually and physically abused by his mum’s friend.

• both terrified of being a father no thanks to their past

• fifty shade characters live in a penthouse and it totally reminded me of the time jae brought jihyun to their hotel/penthouse for the weekend.

• in fifty shades freed, a scene (around 20+ mins in) is showed where they turn into a secluded driveway where their new newlywed house is going to be. it totally reminded me of the noir vision board you had showed us before on their house. i can totally imagine hyerim running around the garden surrounding their house.

i recently rewatched the fifty shades series (the movies & books are my guilty pleasures pls don’t judge…) and i just happened to notice little crossovers in that storyline compared to noir 🫶🏻

maybe it’s too random or tmi but i felt the need to point it out since i think it played a big part into why i love noir so muchhh 🩶

it took me awhile to finally send this message because the whole situation is a little devasting..but i think i was mostly heartbroken from knowing my favourite aus -which i’ve once mentioned were my roman empires, if you remember- were being discontinued. i know it must have been a very difficult decision on your end too since they’ve been your babies for so long 🫂

i don’t know if we’ll ever get to hear if jaeji and their little girls got their happy ending, along with the other long-loved characters (jaem, jen, johnny etc); however i’d like to think everything worked out well in the end 🥹 if you ever feel like sharing the overall plot you had in mind, please dooo! i’ll be here waiting and the current stories will always hold a very special place in my heart ❤️‍🩹

i'm sorry that I left abruptly and that I left you all without a real ending to my saga. it does eat at me most nights, and to say that I hadn't thought about it everyday since would be a lie. some nights I sit and I try to write the way I used to, but something stops me and I wish I knew what.

to say that my story wasn't planned would be a lie, but it's not like I had a hard outline of outcomes either. Part of me has toyed with the idea of giving you snippets or ideas into what could've been, but the method would escape me. Writing is strange in the sense that I'm not writing plot points that I think would work out logically. When I write, I am there, watching events happen as I hastily write them down for you all to read.

For the most part, the images don't come and the characters don't speak to me even if I knock on their door. No one lives there anymore, no matter how much I force myself to call. I'll try my best to scrounge around in the memories of my drafts and scribblings, but I...wouldn't...hope too much.

Thank you thank you thank you for being such a consistent reader and I really hope that one day I'll be able to write about my beloved characters again. Even if they've left me, I'll try to find them--I know they're there, after all.

i mean this in the nicest way possible you guys but you NEED to take better care of yourselves online. getting severely anxious about mass quantities of horrible things you cant change every single day is normal considering the internet’s ability to educate on worldwide issues, it shows that you have empathy and that you truly do care. but relentless knowledge of constant suffering on this scale is NOT something humans are psychologically equipped to handle. it’s okay to shut off. it’s okay to just take a break and enjoy yourself for a while in your own localized space
