He smiled and leaned his head on Shadow’s shoulder, perfectly content just like this,
“This isn’t much to help with, I’m almost done with my report on the event, all that’s left is to sign it and turn it in to the Captain.”
With that all said he stifled a yaw as he scrawled out his name on the bottom of the parchment.

Shadow made a displeased sound, but sat next to his counterpart. “…Any way I can help?” he asked quietly. Partially because he wanted to lessen Vio’s workload, partially because Shadow wanted attention. Vio didn’t have to know his motives.

“If you’re quite finished, I have some paperwork to finish filing. I appreciate this interrogation of yours, and I understand something like that must have been extremely hard for you. I cannot explain his actions, nor do I have the right to apologize on his behalf, but I am very sorry that that’s what you went through.”
Seems like someone had a rough night on patrol the day before, that coupled with the dark circles around his eyes, it seems that this Shadow literally caught him before one of his infamous ‘I tend to fall asleep reading something’ bouts.

“Kid was a little fussy and dehydrated, but otherwise yes they’re alright. However due to the circumstances leading up to this, if there isn’t another family member that can take the kid in, they’ll be in the foster system or they’ll stay here.”
He’s definitely filling out paperwork on what happened.
"No one is giving you trouble, are they Vi?"
“Aside from the drunkard that left their toddler in the library overnight, not really. There is one person that’s shown up but I’m sure they won’t be much of a nuisance.”He smiled a bit.

"What kind of inane heartless monster do you take me for!?”
Well done, you’ve somehow managed to make him more mad than he had been earlier.
“Of course I went to save my Bo... Friend, he was just my friend at the time... I thought I was going to lose him again right after that as well.”
That de-escalated quickly, and... is that a hint of color on his face?
