San Miguel Corporation Head Office Complex in Mandaluyong
The corporate headquarters of the San Miguel Corporation—designed by the Mañosa brothers—is an early example of “green” architecture. The climate-responsive building was inspired by the Banaue rice terraces.
Known advocates of true Filipino architecture, the renowned Mañosa brothers designed this iconic, low-rise building of one of the largest corporations in the country, San Miguel Corporation, with the renowned Banaue Rice Terraces as their main inspiration. It is said to be one of the first early examples of green architecture in the country, and was landscaped in 2006 by no less than the father of Philippine architecture, Ildefonso Santos.
San Miguel Corporation (PSE: SMC) is a Filipino multinational publicly listed conglomerate holding company. It is the largest publicly listed food, beverage and packaging company in Southeast Asia as well as the Philippines' largest corporation in terms of revenue, with over 17,000 employees in over 100 major facilities throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Since 2008, SMC has ventured beyond its core businesses, becoming involved in fuel & oil (Petron Corporation), power generation and infrastructure. It was briefly involved in Philippine Airlines from April 2012 to September 2014.
