So I have an idea, how about I set up a MAP (multi animator project) at this con to be shown at the next one?

Hey, go for it! We always have a Projects channel in the Discord, so you should be able to gather some interested people there!

oh also sorry but whats the deal with the licensing of fanmerch and the artist alley stuff? do you have like special permission?

So we don't have special permission or licensing, no - mainly our workaround is that we ask people selling TMA/TMP merch (charms, prints, jewelry, etc) to sell at-cost (aka, if a charm costs the artist a dollar to make, to sell it only for that dollar). For commissions, we're okay with people buying at regular, for-profit prices as that's a one-time, specific item for a specific person. This whole setup probably wouldn't hold up legally, no, but we're a tiny con and no one's making bank from their work here. We haven't run into any issues for the last three years, thankfully!

hi! sorry i have a couple questions. i was thinking about applying for an artist alley spot but my product would likely be physical, and quite labor intensive, so i would strongly prefer to be selling exclusively at the con. if i set up an online storefront with all the information but the products listed as "out of stock" until the time of the convention would that count as a working shop link?

Yep, that would definitely count as a working store link!

This is so exciting! I think I might apply to run a panel this year. I was wondering, if I do apply and get selected to run a panel, do I have to publish my Tumblr user under it? Or can I use a pseudonym. Not that I have anything to hide, it’s just that my Tumblr is my private little space and I’m not sure I want to give out so freely if that makes sense! Thanks so much!

You can use a pseudonym/remain totally anonymous, if you wish! There's no need to connect your account with your panel.
