Shopping Tips
At the start of every year, probably every season we have the urge to add on to our closet. The desire to stay on trend somewhat forces us to spend and buy more than what were supposed to. So here’s some tips to help when that urge gets the better of you.
1. Buy what you need
So I’ll forever say that buying only what you need is important. So before we go shopping try doing a closet roll call. Go through and note things that you need but don’t necessarily have. Also take into consideration your environment, lifestyle, work environment and so on because they help you put together your closet in a less stressful way.
2. Versatile pieces
This is super easy, is what you’re buying working with at least 50% of your closet? If not that’s a sign to not purchase sis. Also look at whether you can wear it at different points of the day or to different types of events.
3. Quality pieces
Not everyone can afford to buy well made, quality pieces but if you can afford to I would recommend that you consider this option. Most if not all quality items of clothing tend to have a lengthy life span and are very durable, which is good for your bank account.
4. Style
Remember this is also very vital when it comes to shopping. If anything knowing your style affords you the opportunity to be comfortable and look good , and if you look good you feel good and when you feel good you slay ( high key boss vibes). And remember fashion comes and goes but style if forever. So remember fashion comes and goes but style if forever.
Hope in some way this helps and till next post…

How to build your dream wardrobe
More often than none we have wardrobes that are filled with clothes that either don’t fit, aren’t our style or were worn once and never again. In this post I will share some tips that hopefully help you out or give some perspective as to how you can create your dream wardrobe.
The first tip as always is to clean out your wardrobe. We have to start on a clean slate right! And I personally found that by doing this I got rid of a lot of colour, bold prints, most of my dresses and skirts and a bunch of clothes that didn’t fit but were still there. After cleaning out my closet I found that 90% of what was left were basic neutral pieces, which also made room for more of the things I actually needed. Tips 2 would be to shop at boutiques or stores that actually cater to your desired aesthetic. This also might be somewhat hard but save you the time of shopping at places that don’t have what you’re looking for. Personally my favorite stores to shop at are Zara and Foshini. Although slightly pricier the quality is amazing and you will defiantly get your monies worth. Tip number 3 is have staple accessories. Now this for me is important because accessories tie a outfit together and add some character to your outfit. So for staples these would be those accessories that you wear on a daily basis and work for any time of day.
Tip number 4 would be having comfortable yet Chic shoes. Something like a classic Loafer to add some texture to your outfits of a cute pump for those days you feel very boss like. Anyway which ever style you like make sure your comfortable. Tip number 5 which is subject to preference would be a staple everyday bag. I know that not everyone might like handbags but if you do and find one that you like and works for you it defiantly elevates a look. I go for bags that are simple, have very mute but interesting details. I also go for bags are small to somewhat medium because I personally think they suit my frame a whole lot better.
Hope that you found these tips helpful and till next post…
