I will admit I’m somewhat of a fa-mouse person, but I don’t let it go to my head, and I hope it won’t go to yours… Uh, meaning there’s no reason to be uptight around me if you already know my face ‘r name from the news ‘r somethin’…” He shuffled his feet forwards, sort of just assuming she would follow. Cam could be absent-minded in that way.

“I’m sorry! If you’d follow alongside me, ma’am, I can take you there myself. I was on my way to a conference at the hotel Ritz-Crackerton; as it happens, right across the street is a place much more affordable. It’s where I usually stay when I have business at the Ritz…”

Rose was lost. No matter how many times she looked between the map and and her surroundings, she just couldn’t make heads or tails out of this thing.
