I'm new here, so I thought I'd say hello 🙋. I was going to ask: Do you think if Lucien survived until Absalom was killed, the Corruption would leave him for good?

Hey there, welcome! Just a quick note, this blog is actually not in use anymore, since I moved to @another-darksiders-blog instead. But I’d still gladly answer your question! :) 

That honestly depends on the question whether he and Death fought or not, but let’s say that he did hand over the Key instead of refusing it. 

First of, it was implied that Corruption started to exist the moment Absalom and the Nephilim were slaughtered in Eden. So when you go by that logic, it would make sense that Corruption would be destroyed if you killed it’s source. 

However, if it also cures the people infected by Corruption is also a good question to consider. We know that the Guardian was capable of destroying Corruption, and that the Rod of Arafel was strong enough to burn it away. @imagine-darksiders has written an amazing fanfic about the human reader using the Rod of Arafel on Lucien in an act to get rid of his corruption, which worked for the biggest part. 

Another thing to consider is how far the person is corrupted. I’d like to believe that the more someone is influenced by it, the harder it is to help them get back to normal. In the final moment when Death fights Lucien you can see that Corruption has completely taken control over the angel.

Sooo... To wrap it up, say that Lucien was spared, and that Death went on to kill Absalom, thus destroying Corruption, there IS a chance that those who were corrupted were cured as well. However, the chance also exists that Corruption will find a new champion over time and continue existing. 

So yeah, just keep beating that feathery asshole with the lightrod until the black ooze leaves his body I guess. Look he’s even holding it out to you!

So far as I can tell this is only happening to accounts that haven’t posted in a while!!! But check EVERY NEW FOLLOWER you get. If it’s a spambot you’ll see a post like this:

If you see that? That blog’s been taken over. And I’m not sure all of the blogs being taken over have this strange text/tag thing. Everything under this post seems normal and on-brand except for one thing — all the posts are from years ago. You can check the date in which something was posted on mobile by clicking the arrow as though you were going to send the post. So far as I know there’s no way to check the date on desktop unless a blog employs a theme that includes dates. I’ve had spambots like posts too, and I’ve got a feeling they’re trying to steal information by following and interacting with real people.

how would the angels (including abbadon (bc i love him)) react to s/o asking to preen their fucked up wings?

Usiel: After the stress of being stranded on Earth and trying to keep his men alive in the rundown shipping warehouse, his wings are more dishevelled than they’ve ever been. When you mention that you wouldn’t mind straightening out his feathers, he very nearly bowls you over in his enthusiasm. He’s an extremely large angel with an extensive wingspan and it doesn’t take long for your arms to grow tired, but you’ve never seen him so relaxed so you push through the ache and distract yourself by asking him about his life in Heaven. Although you don’t realise it, the mere act of grooming their angelic commander’s wings automatically places you under the protection of all his soldiers. 

Abaddon: Inwardly, he’s relieved that you asked. As a military man, he strives to maintain a smart, well kempt appearance. The only problem is, he can’t reach his wings and he doesn’t particularly want his men to witness him being groomed by a human, so he allows it, but it absolutely must be done in private and if you breathe a word to anyone, you’ll be scrubbing bloodstains out of his armour for months. He tries to remain stone-faced throughout the grooming, though every now and again, you his a particular spot on his wing bone that sends a pleased rumble through is chest.

Nathaniel: Preening the wings of another is often considered a very intimate service, and Nathaniel has been so lonely in his stoic vigil of Lost Light. With a hopeful, hesitant smile, he kneels before you, hand on his chest as he vows to return your kindness someday. That happy smile only grows even wider when you set about straightening his white feathers and a small, contented hum glides past his lips with each gentle stroke of your tiny fingers.

Archon: He has four of them, and they are impressively large, so it’ll be a strenuous task but you seem happy enough to make the attempt, and who is he to turn down a well-deserved groom? He makes a decent show of rolling his eyes and giving it some hard thought before he eventually ‘concedes’ and perches himself on the edge of his tower, legs dangling over the edge so you can reach his silvery feathers. 

Azrael: You mention that his wings are looking a little dishevelled and he immediately balks, attempting to twist himself around to see. Perhaps one of the most humble angels you know, you’d never imagined that Azrael would be self-conscious of his appearance. He sits in a chair in his study, pouring over some scrolls as you work your way through along his wings, making sure that each pristine, white feather is as perfect as you can make it. Afterwards, he insists on finding some way to reward your hard work.

I might feel a little like crying…  The US-guys always had the support of us Europeans with ACTA and SOPA and whatnot to fight against it … where was the help of the US when we Europeans might have needed them to raise our voice against this **** idea of some old white guys who don’t know how the internet works?

I mean… when content creators can’t post anything the people in the US will realize that not everyone lives in their country… Europe is large… there are many content creators here who will suffer.
