Not accepted as an animal,
Not accepted as a human.
Wish the humans would pick a struggle, honestly.

i can confidently say that no kintype of mine i have as strongly identified as my aereis fictotype rn. maybe it's because i'm playing my source material (creatures of sonaria) all day but i'm having almost non-stop phantom shifts
w my other kintypes i occasionally have shifts, for example i most strongly identify as an arctic wolf in social situations. but for my aereis fictotype its so much stronger its scary..
my identities wary a lot in intensity and i usually have some part of humanity left in me and only partially consider myself as nonhuman
but my aereis self has completely abolished the tiny bit of human i had left in me. now the only thing human about me is my physical body

confirming aereis from creatures of sonaria |ω・)ノ

i actually had a phase where i used the labels unicornkin and angelkin AND dragonkin and seeing this creature for the first time i instantly knew yep thats me cus its kinda all of those things combined
i'd still refer to myself as an angel and/or dragon cus aereis is kinda both lol

(creds are in pic)
i've had very specific ear phantom shifts for a long time at it fits perfectly w aereis species. tail and wings are also a common phantom shift i have
so glad i could finally figure it out (人´∀`) i'd love to be moots w other creatures from creatures of sonaria >:3

fuck this shit.
'therians don't actually identify as animals'. i do.
'therians still know we're human.' i don't
i am so sick and tired of being excluded from my own community. i'm sick of having to water down my identity for people who claim to be like me. i am a physical therian. i do not identify as human in any way. i don't give a fuck what people think of me, because i will never be like them. i will never be normal, i will never be human.
i'm sick of having to pretend.

i've been vegan for almost 2yrs and as a human meat grosses me out but.... i still crave it in a wolf way. i wanna go hunting as a wolf and eat as a wolf.. but i do think its beautiful that because i'm partially human i can decide against meat cravings for all of my animal siblings' sake (U •́ .̫ •̀ U)

I'm not a girl, nor a boy.
I'm a thing, an animal, I'm not he or she, I'm "it".

Sometimes therian spaces just feel like "therians are valid! but-", then they give you an entire paragraph about why you aren't one of the "alright therians"

therian dog culture is (in my experience) getting zoomies when you're excited and having to run around and bark in order to work through them

I tried that thing where you're casually open about your identity, without ever actually trying to explain otherkinity, and it fucking worked??
Went out for lunch with a guy I've only met twice, and he asked about my bison pendant. I just said that if I were an animal I'd be a bison, I relate to their resilience and stubbornness, it's kinda like a spiritual thing.
Later in the day, he commented about my not wearing a jacket in December and I jokingly asked if he'd ever seen a bison get cold (and then said something about my ADHD meds making me overheat).
And wouldn't you know it, a while later he himself made a joke about me being a bison, completely unprompted.
Incredible. I don't know what I was afraid of, I should've tried this way sooner!!
