01. abilities : the only ones mentioned are those that hold importance and not usually found in traditional folklore about vampires.

thermovariance : vier is able to raise the temperature of the target’s blood up to its boiling point that would result in embolisms in the circulatory system, necrosis, shock and organ failure, or worse; immediate death

dreamwalking : an alternative form of feeding found by vier to avoid drinking blood. she enters and influence dreams of people, feeding on their fear or desires ( similar : emotion absorption; draining any type of strong emotion others feel to fuel herself or leave them emotionally numb )

blood plague : an enhanced version of the disease called ‘ sanguinare vampiris ’ that causes vampirism if left untreated within the three days incubation period. blood plague’s incubation period is only 24 hours—better work on that cure or start praying at a shrine / church. can be inflicted through a spell or drinking a vampire’s blood

hemokinesis / blood bending : an ability to manipulate blood outside the body to create weapons, shield, or by controlling others by manipulating their bloodstreams

shadowform : her body transforms into a living shadow, allowing her to slip through cracks and crevices or become intangible

02. headcanons

fang problems : as a newly turned vampire, she struggles with her new set of fangs and often bite her tongue or gets a little messy when eating normal human food ( she still has no idea how to retract her fangs )

painfully single ( or chooses to be ) : as she has constantly ghosted past dates because she doesn’t want her secret to be revealed. she also freaked out once and almost bit someone

canis lupus lover : dogs always start barking at her because they can sense something is wrong but she still find them cute even if they are quite aggressive with her ( and sad that she can’t keep one )

neighbour’s favourite stray cat : cizeta has shape-shifting problems and sometimes can’t turn back when she wants to and always gets mistaken as a stray cat by her neighbours.

monochrome : she’s already pale and still loves to wear black which makes her look paler than she already is—always hears ‘ you’re white as a sheet of paper... did you see a ghost? ’

act normal : can eat human food and it doesn’t disgust her but can’t tell if the taste is off since it all tastes the same for her

act one. the normal life of a mortal girl

cizeta lived a normal life where she balanced two contrasting worlds: her father, a neuroscience researcher, while her mother was a former ballet dancer. even with her father’s scientific influence—cizeta believed in God and found wonder in things that even science could not explain. the girl also inherited her mother’s love for dance—just not in the same genre and only picked it up as a hobby of hers. cizeta also has this deep fascination of the ocean and marine life that turned into a love for sharks. you can say that her life during these times were a harmonious blend of faith, science, and art—fostering the deep imagination and compassionate nature that she has.

but—as she started to grow older—her peers planted seeds of doubt within her mind or she was starting to see what the world has to offer. cizeta eventually started to question her faith and noticed that there was something wrong with her.

despite that, cizeta was and is still a good daughter and sister. she loves her family dearly and the people around her, it’s just that—her faith is starting to crumble the moment she realized she wasn’t normal like the other girls her age. cizeta wasn’t fond of boys even at an early age, she just thought that maybe she is not that interested in romance not until that other girl—the one that she spent a lot of time with during senior year of high school.

act two. the death of one’s innocence

as she spent more time with this—girl... this brought feelings she had never experienced before—feelings that she could not deny. and by the peak of her senior year, cizeta has finally accepted that she is different, she embraced this identity of hers with quiet determination. despite the confusion this realization brought—she maintained strong relationships and continued to care for the people that she surrounded herself with.

this warm and supporting atmosphere didn’t last long for her family when she turned eighteen, a strange phenomenon happened to her on a random night. a woman appeared in her dream while she was asleep—it was truly strange as this woman had the face of the girl she first loved.

the sweet and warm dream she had slowly turned into a nightmare that will haunt her forever—waking up while she was in paralysis, a horned creature was before her, using her body until she almost dropped dead. she knew that it was a demon, thinking that it must’ve been sent to punish her for giving into her earthly desires and forgetting about her faith.

her parents had seen her in a battered state, lifeless almost, and was rushed to the nearest hospital. the demon had purposely gave her a drop of its blood that unironically saved her life—turning her into something that would entirely isolate her from the life she has been living.
