Ran into a fic that reminded me of the instagram posts from forever ago where Angel would go around asking people to come to his strip shows and nobody would ever show up and Angel was heavily implied to be hurt by it. (In Husk's defense, he passed out drunk and woke up like "I feel like I'm forgetting something?" while Angel's Val-colored smoke is wafting from upstairs.) Anyways, I love the angst potential here and I hope this is canonized in some way. I know A24 really limits how much Hazbin can do in a season since we are restricted to 8 episode seasons but if they can just squeeze in an ounce of that kind of angst, I'd appreciate it. Also the envelopes. Give me the envelope angst in the show where Husk asks Angel to actually pay his tab and Angel ends up working overtime to give Husk to the money for it and Husk feels so bad that he only takes a couple of dollars and lets Angel keep the rest. Just... GIMME.

What they don't tell you about writing is that as you write, you discover scenes and entire plots that you hadn't accounted for that need to be written. So you can spend two hours writing and editing only to realise you're further away from the finish line than you thought you were when you started
