Drookian Dragoons

I have been riding that surge of hobby energy, and finished off my Dragoon concept and rounded it out with the other 7 standard infantry. Making it one “count as” Infantry Squad currently minus a Heavy Weapons Team. After removing the riders I had to rebuild

[*]The Saddle [*]Baggage [*]Stirrups [*]Reins

The Stirrups while fiddly were not too difficult. If I was to make more I would 3D print them just to save time. The Reins on the other hand were annoying to do, particularly the ones over the head. The Greenstuff ones are sharper but the Plasticard one has far better shape.

People were discussing Ruby with different hairstyles in the RG discord server (long hair, ponytail, low side ponytail) and so I wanted to draw it (as well as different outfits I tried out).

It’s surprisingly difficult to make her sillouette stand out against her cape while trying to keep her color scheme. Use too much red and you can’t see it against the cape, too much black and it’s difficult to distinguish different parts of the outfit, and use too much grey/white and it doesn’t feel like her anymore. You can see a bit of my thought process in the second image.

My girlfriend and I call this being “People’d”. sometimes it hits us at Cons or LARPs.. just whenever the brain goes “nope done with people for the day, no more fun for you” Affects us both a little differently, whilst both our anxiety goes up, my “Fight or flight” instict Kicks in hard... which is great when you had to work on anger issues most of your life. it Sucks, but we’ve know how to deal with it and taking time to have a recharge.

The 305th "Space Dingoes" specialise in capturing and training local fauna to fight the enemies of the imperium.

For some unknown reason every fauna is called ethier bruce or shelia.

The Imperial Knights of House Yamato rise to defend their world from the enemies of the Imperium and the Adeptus Mechanicus…

I decided to try a samurai theme for my trio of Knights, inspired by the three Imperial Regalia of Japan: the sword (Kusanagi no Tsurugi), the mirror (Yata no Kagami), and the jewel (Yasakani no Magatama). They each guard a segment on the path to the shrine of the the ancients. The first guards the gate, the second the pond of reflection (my attempt at a koi pond), and the third guards the shrine itself (the remains of an Eldar Knight).
