Windows 7 Anti-Piracy Measures - Are These a Bit Too Far?

It is not debated that the Windows operating system is the most pirated operating system that there is. Microsoft loses millions of dollars in sales each year as their products are pirated, cracked, copied, and downloaded across the web. With the new Windows 7 there is a system that will be employed with the next update that will add some security measures to be sure your copy is genuine. What will happen is that every about 90 days the system will call back to Microsoft to determine if that copy is a real copy of Windows 7 that is validated. Once the system passes validation, it will be everything as normal until the next 90 day period. If it fails, there will be a variety of functionalities in the system that will be shut down locking the user out of parts of the operating system. There are some criticisms of this procedure. First of all, many cracked and pirated versions of Windows 7 already exist before this new patch is there. That means that many of the pirated versions will completely bypass this 90 day check. While there could be some versions that are made after this is added in, it is not likely. The other huge issue will be when the system messes up. What will happen to a customer every 90 days if their system isn't seen as genuine when it's really a big mistake? Having a chance of being locked out of your operating system especially when running a business on the machine is a scary thought especially if it could happen every 90 days. It seems that there could be a better method of doing this to allow paying customers from having to deal with this problem. It's understandable that measures have to be taken to fight piracy. This might not be the most customer friendly method.

Anyone that has read any of my articles before or who has visited my site will know I continually praise the healing power of honey. I also regularly recommend one particular essential oil - Tea tree. So how about if you could naturally combine the qualities of these two natural ingredients. Combining tea-tree with its anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties with honey, natures soothing nectar with properties that promote healing is a powerful combination. And guess what nature provides it for us in the form of Manuka Honey. Manuka honey is produced in New Zealand where beekeepers set up their hives in the uncultivated areas where the Manuka bush grows. The Manuka is only indigenous to New-Zealand and is helped by the governments stringent pollution controls and restrictions on the importing of plant-life. Products containing Manuka honey is being recommended by skincare experts worldwide because of its powerful skin conditioning properties. It is also being used medicinally to treat infections, ulceration and scarring.
