What’s the best ice cream place around here? This heat is getting to me and I need a good place for a scoop… or, three.

Exactly, but they usually get what they deserve in the end though. And they usually are, yup. I’m sure you will Ariela, you know exactly what you need to do and vacation rentals are exactly what this area needs. Great point too, and nope. I refuse to let them spoil it for everyone else.

True. Karma’s good that way. :P The beach huts do seem to be getting even more interested parties now that I was able to add more pictures of the renovations! The first couple of structures have been ready for a while but, as of this past weekend, the whole line of huts are fully painted and furnished, ready to be somebody’s getaway. Now I just need those initial takers to leave some positive reviews after their stay, and then things will really get hopping! I’m right there with you, Chris. Gotta keep looking on the bright side and remember that most people really appreciate the work we do. :)

Awww. We need to find a way so you can get in more rest! Really? I could use a day myself, and it’s always more fun to have someone with you to chat with. Really? Perfect then! I’m off on Sundays, actually, so that sounds wonderful!

Owen’s getting a little better at sleeping through the night recently (one of the blessings of that sixth month mark), so maybe now I’ll finally be able to count some sheep myself from time to time. Thank goodness! Yeah, a gals’ day sounds like just the thing I need to unwind and pat myself on the back for a job well done. Sounds like a plan, my friend. The first Sunday of June it is! :D

Even Owen knows things get intense when you start yelling en español. Mhm I do. A little sweetness works wonders on pretty much everything.

Yeah, he gives me the funniest concerned look sometimes, like when I’m giving his car seat a multilingual riot act for not fastening correctly. Good thing I’ve got an educated expert on my hands to cure what ails me. I think it’s working a little bit of that magic already.

For sure! So what’s your favorite sport?

To watch -- probably basketball. Something about the pace and the energy. To play -- I’ll say either volleyball or tennis since those are what I have the most background in. I played volleyball in the fall and tennis in the spring back when I was in high school. What about you? What kinds of clubs and activities were you in back then?

That’s so cute, I hope you took lots of photos! Hey, that’s something at least! Those crabs can be brutal at times. That definitely must be the case then for sure. That’s so fun and I believe it! He’s such a cutie! Absolutely, you’re right. Nothing can beat it, really. Or the feel of sand between your toes. Awww, that’s so perfect! I bet he’ll love it, and they say it’s smart to start them young!

We did, yeah, when we could stop shaking with laughter long enough to get a clear shot. x) Phew, right, Sebastian’s lookalikes aren’t nearly as musical or helpful. But they’ve got that signature crabby attitude down pat! Owen is a total charmer; can’t argue with you there. Less than a year looking at his lil’ smiling face and I’m already completely smitten. Ooo, yes, the sand feels really nice. Absolutely, I think it’ll be good for him. It’ll feel like second nature by the time he’s older and it certainly can’t hurt to have that skill under his belt!

Damn, did you really? Those kind of people can be the worst, you can’t tell them anything and just have to watch them fail. Thanks, well they make it interesting if nothing else at least. It’s my experience that they do, the good always outweight the bad.

Yeah, that’s exactly how it goes. No reasoning with ’em! I’m glad to hear the odds are usually in your favor. I’m really hoping I’ll have that kind of luck once my business gets up and going. A few *ahem* needy visitors now and then are fine, so long as the rest are pretty average and reasonable. Just gotta remember that whole “one bad apple doesn’t spoil the whole bunch” thing, right?

Sure sounds like it– I can’t even imagine! I love my sleep. Maybe it’s a combo of the two? But you need your rest! Wouldn’t it be nice? No, the titles were great; you can keep going! I think so though! Let me know if and when you want to make it happen!

I’m a big fan myself, when I can manage to get it. That sounds about right, yeah. :P It would be pretty amazing. You’re totally talking me into it. Y’know, once all the prep work for tourist season is finished, I think I’ll without a doubt be due for some pampering. What does your schedule look like at the start of June? Say, maybe, Sunday the 4th?

Well don’t worry, you won’t have to be back too long to remember it again if so. Yes… and I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve done that before too. Well if you ask me, painting anything makes you an artiste, so it totally counts. Hey that’s pretty cool then, and yeah? That’s a good call, I’m sure they’ll look brand new when you’re done with them.

Hey, in that case, I’ll take my art cred where I can find it! Thanks, Chris. I’m really hoping so. The beach huts in Europe look a lot more inviting than the ones I was used to seeing near the shore as a kid, so I’m hoping the novelty and convenience of these can draw people in. I’ve got at least a few takers in June. I’m definitely keeping my fingers crossed that word of mouth will attract more!

That’s definitely for sure. Aw, thanks! Let’s see, anecdotes… well there was the customer who bragged he just needed one lesson before he’d be a pro scuba diver. He didn’t last 5 minutes in the water before he needed to get back to shore… that was fun. Boy you’re not kidding, we get all kinds. Good and bad though.

Oh, man... I went to school with someone exactly like that. All talk. I definitely wish you luck with the rest of the eccentrics who turn up over the oncoming months. Here’s hoping there are more good than bad this summer!
