‘Cigarette Cards’ - 25 cards based on the same theme. Dimensions 8 x 5 Maximum, ideally 4 x 7. Ratio of 1:2.5.

Broch or Magnet made from clay and painted, within box. 

Stickers? 

Art Prints - portraiture, contained within a matchbook type case.

Box Dimensions

The maximum size the cigarette card box will be is 5cm x 8cm x 3cm 

Need to find a larger box that will fit this, as well as a few other pieces. 

Does it have to be small enough to fit through a post box?

The standard box able to fit is  12 cm x 10.5 cm x 2.2 cm

Large Letter:  750g -  35.3cm L x 25cm W x 2.5cm H 

Small Parcel: 2kg - 45cm L x 35cm W x 16cm H

Original Cigarette Card Box: 4cm x 7cm x 1.5cm 

Original Cigarette Card: 3.5cm x 6.7cm

Most online plain matchboxes have the dimensions 5cm x 8 cm x 3cm 

Adds about a cm in each direction to the card size? Won’t end up being the same proportions unless I make the box myself

BRIEF - 16th May 10am

For final assessment you will present: 

1. Website which will contain a portfolio of your work (50% mark) 

2. Self-Promotion Brief this is composed of two parts (50% mark) 

Part 1. A self-promotion piece: the purpose of this is to design a selection of products to promote yourself via direct mail. 

Part 2. Business Card and Invoice template 1. Website (Please refer to website brief) We will need to be able to access your website via a URL for assessment, but this does not mean that your website has to be live at that time. However, if your website is not live we will need to be able to access it with the appropriate log in details . It should be only your work that you are showcasing. 

 2. Self-Promotion Brief 

Part 1 Produce a piece of ‘direct mail’ self-promotion 

This should reflect the best of your portfolio It should be pitched to promote your work to your target audience You have 2 options 

1. Produce a piece of physical direct mail to post to Phil Cleaver aim for this to reach him a week before the final crit. Please note in addition to this you MUST photograph your piece/s of selfpromotion/direct mail and submit this within your long PDF ( and your back up work of ideas development ) to the link on MyLearning by the 16 th May before 10am 

2. Produce a digital ‘product’ shot of how your piece would look. For example if you were going to produce a concertina book of your illustrations and you cannot do this if you are not on campus, you can use a product shot of a concertina without any images and apply your own images. You will also need to show how you would package your piece to send through the post, would it be a box, envelope or something more adventurous? Whatever it is you need to have a digital mock up that accommodates and protects your piece of direct mail. 

Part 2 Produce an Invoice and Business Card that reflects your ‘brand’
