Digital Signage Advertising - Meeting HD's Demands
When I think of digital signage, I sometimes remember music that grew out of the "Little Horror Store" and sometimes the plant of hunger. You may remember these unusual plants. It speaks and sings the Venus fly trap on steroids, constantly called "Feed Me!" is needed. I can't help this huge plant that eats man, but the appetite for meat was as big and appealing as the digital signboard of the ingredients. Content is the currency of digital signage. Without it, digital signage would be as attractive as a dimly lit mirror. Therefore, it is imperative for digital signage users to create, create, and plan enough types of content to capture and retain audience interest until they deliver the message they want.
Under normal circumstances, this is not an easy task, but rather more difficult if high accuracy is added to the equation. Linking HD content to digital signage is easy. The ability of an HDTV to reproduce image details is a powerful ability to convey the previously unimaginable meaning of realism. Sports fans who watch their favorite teams in HD do not want to return to ordinary TV, and nature lovers can sometimes feel overwhelmed with the glory of Mother Nature watching the Discovery HD theater.
Transfer this high-resolution realism to a network of retail Digital Signage such as where merchants want to create a mood or better paint their product image. In these circumstances, digital signage dealers' understanding of the attractiveness of high-definition is as clear as an HD image.
However, the issue of obtaining HD content - especially HD video - is no less obvious. Although it seems that every week another press release announces the arrival of a new TV channel or cable network in HD format, the reality is that the video industry is still in a period of transition between traditional TV and HDTV. HD content can be filmed to suit your digital signage needs, but there is a high demand for HD production services and a limited supply - so be prepared. On the positive side, a wide range of relatively inexpensive camcorders are available to content creators looking to capture HD digital signage content.
Another source of HD content is your company's movie library. Remember that HD continuous-tone movies, or those that can be confused with "high definition" things, are moderate. The movie can be transferred to HD video, and depending on your project, it may make sense.
Converting HDTV to HDTV is also an option. Depending on how you want to use the content, this may be the solution that suits your HD content needs. While this may not be ideal, converting specific content has significant advantages in capturing high-resolution original content in terms of cost, speed, and capabilities. Keep in mind that many of the programs you currently run on your HDTV may have series converted from standard definition content. This is likely to happen especially with snapshots of historical files.
If you're not looking for original HD content, the options are a little wider. Cable and satellite TV services and even Telco provide a wide range of channels and networks. It is also possible to start a computer equipped with a USB 2.0 port and a USB device that is an ATSC receiver with a loop antenna for an HDTV receiver / digital video recorder to transmit HDTV terrestrial content over the air. While I don't specifically advocate the unauthorized use of copyrighted material, the availability of USB HDTV receivers and recorders increases your flexibility and capabilities.
Feeding inexhaustible hunger for digital signage has never been easier, and high resolution makes the job even harder. But you are not without opportunities. The starting point is the creation of high-definition content, the transfer of existing movie resources to HD, and the conversion of regular video content to high-definition content. Over time, the production capacity of HD will become so vast that it will allow you to create HD content. Until then, creative digital signage content professionals will appreciate their resources and take advantage of the opportunities that make sense today.
