This morning he had leaped on to my bed and pressed his nose against mine. ‘Good morning,’ he said. I remember the heat of him against my skin.

Achilles and Patroclus from The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller! This was the second artwork I created for @//obsidianmooncrate ‘s September box and it was just so nice to draw these boys in such a happy moment. 😭

Seek and search. Coldness and nothing else. Wretched, miserable and grief-stricken. I don't have the patience for spring, when it seems to be warm but it's not. With only two, three cups of light wine in, how can I stand the windy night? The swan goose flies by as I am in sorrow. Turns out it's an acquaintance from the past.
Yellow blossoms gather on the ground. Who would pick the withered flowers? I sit by the window - how could I survive the night by myself? Drizzle falls upon the Chinese parasol tree, drip, drip, drip in the dusk. How could the word "sadness" conclude this view?
-- Every Sound is Slow (a lyrical poem) by Lee Tsing Chiu (Li Qingzhao)

“Achilles' eyes were bright in the firelight, his face drawn sharply by the flickering shadows. I would know it in dark or disguise, I told myself. I would know it even in madness.”
