Time travel au where Daniel goes back to 15th century Delhi and prevents the slavers from snatching Arun. When he returns to present time, he finds that Armand has vanished. So he does some digging and finds that Arun went on to become a famous islamic calligrapher and lived a long full life and died as a human 400 years ago.

The last scene is Daniel visiting Arun's grave and saying, "Hey, so you don't know me, or I guess, didn't know me, but I know you, or, well, I knew a version of you. And because of that I tried to help you out that one time when you were young. I'm glad you got away from those fuckers. I'm glad you got to live happily and lead a life full of accomplishments like how you wanted for me. I guess that's worth missing out on modern technology. Bet you never imagined the existence of blenders and movies back then. You would've loved them, Arun. You would've turned on the blender at unholy hours of the night and made horrible concoctions. You would've made me watch Blade Runner with you for hours and hours until the tape wore out. But I guess that's not happening anymore. I still have a copy of Blade Runner on VHS, you know. I tried to watch it but it didn't feel right. Huh. I don't even know why I'm telling you this. It doesn't matter. I hope you're having a blast wherever you are. I'm happy for you. I am. Making Daniel Molloy an old man was such a sexy move. They didn't need to at all, but they did and the show is 1000% hotter because of it. Yeah it's also a subversion from vampire romances typically fetishizing eternal youth, but it's also just sexy to have a 70 year old man in your queer gothic romance. Can't wait for his romance arc, I'm going to go feral.
