CIRCLES AND STRIPES. I went to Shingwedzi looking for a particular photograph of a particular animal using this ‘swirl’ effect for my Kruger photographic book. It took me 13 days until I finally got it the right combination of animal and surroundings. I started with practicing on Mopani trees and other people thought I was crazy (it seems even impala are preferred over Mopani trees 😂!). I then moved onto practicing on wildlife and managed to capture this image which didn’t come out too bad. Anyway, about 3000 images later I managed to capture exactly what I was after - a unique blend of wilderness and wildlife with a burst of color and rarity.
