Honestly this was SUCH a victorious fight for the intrepid heroes. They've always been good at battle tactics but they've gotten CRAZY GOOD in the past few years. Brennan rolling like shit helped also

YES Comfrey was totally vindictive about Monty, but the thing that makes it Compelling is that the CONTRADICTIONS. In the SAME BUILDING, there are TWO notes written by Comfrey about Monty. One is very clearly lashing out, the other shows a Strangely positive attitude towards him. "Monty knows the way". In one note she is refusing to even say his name, and in the other she's calling him by his nickname. "was never a real adventure" next to "knows the way" is fucked up

looking at your comfrey posts and you get it. You get it

Episode one of cloho, my brain said "that one. comfrey macleod. she's compelling. I'm gonna be obsessed with her" and I said "but she's not PRESENT in the story, that's not a good idea for a character to think about all the time" and my brain said "LOL that sounds like a you problem". I don't know exactly why my brain decided that I was going to be number one comfrey macleod thinker, but every single episode further validates that decision. Every single episode I say "what is WRONG with her", but every way that she is fucked up is also deeply compelling and fascinating. Every bit of characterisation paints such a vividly clear picture of someone who is incredibly flawed but still, after trying so hard not to, cares painfully strongly. She becomes so desperately obsessed with her goals that she gets worse and worse, destroying lives around her, but when she finally decides to leave everyone behind, she CAN'T.

Every post I make about Comfrey MacLeod comes from a Need for other people to see her the way I see her. So, to put it shortly: THANK YOU, it brings me so much joy to know other people consider my opinion a good one
