established wangxian wherein they spend almost all of their time together. when lwj wakes up, the first person he seeks is wwx. when wwx needs to go somewhere, he brings lwj along.

at this point, they might as well be considered married, minus the marriage bows and formalities. their families know of their relationship and have long accepted them, but the thing is, wwx wants to savor the sweetness of their young love, and lwj wants to honor wwx's wishes and also help himself control his... urges.

just like right now, lwj is composing a new song while wwx is seated just beside the guqin wangji. lwj pulls wwx all of a sudden until the man is sat on his lap.

wwx giggles saying, "weren't you busy, lan-er gege?"

lwj is working really, really hard to finish this score soon as it is the penultimate song in his book of compositions. you see, he has made this book to calm his.. uhm, needs... and yet, here he is, about to embrace wwx when he is supposed to be working.

lwj burries his head in wwx's neck and the latter leans his back on lwj, too comfortable to tease the man again. they stay like that for a few moments, wwx relaxed to the maximum although the esteemed hanguang jun is having a hard time.

as you may already know, lwj wants to consummate their unofficial marriage.

Let me set the scene-

Eight year old Dick has been at Wayne Manor for only a few months. Bruce still struggles with some awkwardness and how to be appropriately affectionate that is accepted by he and Dick. He sees Dick getting more comfortable and acting more like a kid. He is starting to move away from grief and participate in Bruce's life. He shows interest and asks questions. Bruce is reserved and doesn't quite know how to open up or if he even should share anything, maybe it is too adult, maybe he just needs someone to listen and not talk... so many doubts.

Dick has become a fixture of wayne manor and loves to take over the main living area for his activities. Dick often draws pictures and makes cards and gives them to Bruce and Alfred. He considers this a very great gift and a huge show of affection as it takes so much time and concentration for him to complete a work. He hopes that even if the affection cannot be expressed physically or spoken, like with his parents, he can still let Mr. Wayne and Alfred know how much they mean to him. On this day, Dick can be found sprawled out in the study with papers all around him, creating silly pictures and fantastical works.

Bruce comes in, exhausted and unhappy from having to go to a board meeting-

Dick: Hey Mr. Wayne, how was work?

Bruce: hrn...*remembers he cannot grunt at the kid like can Alfred* good... long

Dick: look, I drew a wooly mammoth on a ball

Dick: *hands the picture to Bruce*

Bruce: *inspects picture very closely*

Bruce: wooly mammoths used their tusk s to dig and went extinct 10,000 years ago

Bruce notices Dick looking up at him, but isn't quite sure what the look on his face is. Is Dick confused? Does he not know much about wooly mammoths? Bruce decides this may be a good time to introduce Dick to prehistoric animals. Bruce is proud of himself for taking this and deciding to make it an educational moment and a way to maybe *connect* to young Dick. He remembers a scribble he has in his brief case.

Bruce reaches in his brief case and pulls a paper with a scribbled Quetzalcoatlus on it.

Bruce: *hands drawing to Dick as he pulls it out of his briefcase*

Dick: *grabs it readily with both hands*

Dick: Is this for me?

Bruce: *slightly confused, but goes with it*

Bruce wonders how he can show him a more upbeat version of himself and be more appropriately tempered to Dick in his response.

Bruce: yes, of course,I made it just for you.....

Bruce: ....chum

Dick: *staring at it wide eyed*

Dick: It gives me hearts in my eyes!

Bruce: *remembers the cartoon where the character got hearts in their eyes when they saw something they loved, now trying to not choke up.... feels an ache in his heart for this kid...*

Bruce: *realizes this is not a moment for logic or learning, but him actually making a connection with this kid*

Bruce: your picture gives me hearts in my eyes too, Dick

Bruce: *reaches down and ruffles Dick's hair*
