Media portfolio-
Saad Aslam has his own podcast on itunes called ‘mindsetmattersmost’. The name of his podcast is memorable because it is all one word and therefore easy to pronounce and the use of repetition with ‘mind’ ‘maters’ and ‘most’.
Jenny Hueston- photographer. The simplicity of this website/photography portfolio is what makes it memorable. Its easily navigated and attracting to its audience.
Yet another podcast addressing important political themes. The logo for this podcast again is something which would be recognizable to an audience. The bright colours of the background against the gritty font which is bordered around each letter makes it seem even more important. Which contrasts with the severity of the things they are discussing.
How would you define or set up you own portfolio?
Having a brand which is simple, unique and memorable. I think I’d like to set up the portfolio of perhaps a podcast through a simple layout of a website where the clips are easily accessible along with a little description of what the podcast is about. Or through social media i.e. its own Instagram account.
‘Companies look for ways to connect emotionally with customers, become irreplaceable. And create lifelong relationships.’ Wheeler A (2017, p.2)
‘The right name is timeless, tireless, easy to say and remember; it stands for something.’ Wheeler A (2017, p.22)
-Typography is very important- sans serif (without line) serif (with line)
Brand name that represents you and your portfolio:
Having a unique surname ‘Blood’ many people are shocked and say it is something they won’t forget, just how a brand needs to be. Therefore incorporating my surname into my portfolio would help the brand identity.
-If I were to do a podcast ‘bloodtalks’ all as one word perhaps. Although only con is the connotations which come with ‘blood’ an audience may think it would be podcast on medical things or something of the sort.
-The logo I think would all be typography (sans serif) and very simple.
-For a photography portfolio, I think I would still incorporate my surname.
