トーマス・クラーク

1944 スコットランド生まれ トーマス・クラークは、スコットランド東海岸の小さな漁村に住む詩人です。彼の作品はスコットランド の島々やハイランドの風景の中を思索散歩することで生み出されます。 彼の詩は、しばしば、庭園や公共スペース、ギャラリーなどの風景の中に詩の言葉と共に設置されています。 1986 年以来、アーティスト Laurie Clark と共に、オルタナティブ・スペース、ケイルンギャラリーの企画 運営を行いミニマルアートやコンセプチュアルアートを中心としたアーティストの紹介を行っています。

1944 Born in Scotland THOMAS A CLARK is a poet who lives in a small fishing village on the east coast of Scotland. His work is a response to walks in the landscape of the highlands and islands of Scotland. Thomas A Clark’s poetry often takes the form of installations in galleries, domestic or public spaces, in gardens or landscapes. Since 1986, with the artist Laurie Clark, he has curated Cairn, an occasional space for minimal and conceptual art.

道楽同盟は、「道楽同盟」という新しいアイデンティティをシュミレーションすると 同時に、アートの新しい可能性をシュミレーションするアートユニットです。 場、時、人など、新しいアートになりうる新しいアートの素材を探し、それらの素材 を粘土や木材のように操作し、アートによる新しい感性の開拓を模索しています。

DourakuDoumei is an art unit tries to simulate a new identity as “DourakuDoumei”, and also tries to simulate new possibility of arts same time. Like a field, a time and a man, we search some new materials that could be some new arts, and seek to explore a new sensitivity of arts by using these new materials as like clay or wood.

■作家コメント / ステートメント

山を登っていると、変な木が立っていて、真ん中からおよそ1mほど縦に割れ目が入ってい る。 遠目で見ると中は暗くて見えないので、近づいて見てみる。 木の割れ目から、殺風景な野原と大きな一本の木が見える。 その木には小さな青い実が乱雑に生えている。 とても綺麗だ。 何の木だろうか。しかし、何処かで見たことがある気がする。 思い出そうと木を見つめていたはずが、気が付けば、自宅の机で知らない本をじっと見つめ ていた。

When climbing the mountain, a strange tree is standing, and the rift enters about 1m lengthwise from the middle. The inside is dark and it does not see at a distance, and it approaches and it sees. I can see a dreary field and a large tree from the cracks in the trees. A small blue fruit grows in the tree. It is very beautiful. What tree. but I feel like I've seen it somewhere. I stared at the tree to remember, but when I realized it, I was staring at a book I didn't know at home desk.

作文 キャベツと墓と父さん

野菜嫌いだった子供の頃に、口にすることができた数少ない野菜のひとつが、キャベツでした��大人になった今でも、キャベツば かり食べています。夏は千切りでサラダにし、冬は豚肉と炒めて食べます。 今年の4月に、父が癌で亡くなりました。私は1ヶ月間ほどバイトを休んで、毎日父の入院する病院に通っていました。最後の夜は 私も病室に泊まり、一緒に眠りました。明け方、父は亡くなりました。私は喪主として、葬儀を執り行いました。ネクタイを叔父 にしめてもらいました。 父の墓石のデザインを、私が考えることになりました。母や親族が気に入ってくれるかは、わかりません。1年前に私の個展を観 た父は、わからない、と言っていました。 私は、週に3玉キャベツを食べます。偶然見ていたテレビで、アメリカの医療機関が発表していた、癌予防に最も効果のある野菜 に、キャベツが含まれていました。

Cabbage Tomb My father

One of the few vegetables it was possible to take was cabbage around the child who was vegetables hater. It was an adult, even now, only cabbage is being eaten. Summer is cutting into fine strips and I'll take salad, and winter is fried and eaten with pork. My father died of cancer in April of this year. I was absent from part-time work for about 1 month and went to the hospital where my father is hospitalized every day. I stayed in the hospital room and slept together at last night, too. Dawn and the fatherhood passed away. I held a funeral as a chief mourner. My uncle helped me wear my necktie. I'm going to consider the design of the father's tombstone. I don't know whether my mother and a relative like it. My father came to see my solo exhibition a year ago. At that time he said that he did not understand. I eat 3 cabbages in a week. In a television that I saw by chance, American research institutions announced that cabbage had cancer prevention effect.
