This is an elven necklace I made with a blue labradorite gemstone. First, I wrap the stone with 0.3 mm wire (for the tree) and 1.2 mm wire (for the frame). Then, I crochet 0.3 mm wire into five separate strands of chain stitches using a 2.5 mm hook—one strand with beads and four without. Available to order at my Etsy shop: https://jessyherc.etsy.com

'Queen of Scots' snake tiara by Wendy Brandes, 2017
Yellow and rose gold, rubies, diamonds, baroque South Sea pearl (£38,990.23, 1stdibs)
"A note from Wendy: One-of-a-kind. The design was inspired by Mary Queen of Scots, cousin to Elizabeth I. Elizabeth's advisors referred to Mary as "the bosom serpent" -- close to the queen of England, and dangerous."

Nixie's Crown tiara by Maria Nilsdotter, 2021
From the Midsommar collection
'Midsummer solstice unveils the magical properties of morning mist, meadow flowers and strangely euphoric forest beings. Especially watch out by the water where the Nixie is waiting to pull you down.
What would the Nixie wear? Nixie's Crown is an alluring, glistening tiara with sharp thorns and drops of water. One branch grows down onto the Nixie's cheek where a single tear hangs. Made by hand in Stockholm in silver with diamond, moonstone, amazonite, agate and clear quartz.' £10,700
