Faux OVA title screen for my one of my favorite book series, "The Power of Five" by Anthony Horowitz (originally called "Pentagram" in the 80s, starting w 'The Devil's Door-Bell' in 1983)

Song: "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush (I thought the lyrics were really fitting)

Also, I called this "Pentagram: The Power of Five" or "Pentagram: Itsutsu no Chikara" as a way to combine the two book series titles.

I had so much fun working on this and want to make more shots of the "opening" over summer break~~

Sadly, this series isn't that well known, at least in the US, where it goes by "The Gatekeepers".

I’ll say it again, the scruffy musty charm is potent with Richard.

The Power of Five fandom has a large cast of characters of various genders, ages and personalities and somehow we all decided as a fandom, that the one messy guy with the boring job, who is barely adulting, living in his tiny flat with furniture he pulled out of a skip is the one to love, and I think that is beautiful.

The true reason Matt went to sleep early after the first battle with the Old Ones wasn't only because he was exhausted (he was), it was also because he knew he had to be up early to wake Jamie before any other Gatekeeper woke up, send him back to the present day.

Then he had to take Flint (while he was still asleep) to the present, wake him up, and then learn really fast out how to drive a jeep even though 10,000 years ago, all they had were horses. Then to drive with one (1) confused Flint to battle with the Old Ones for a second time in 24 hours.

No wonder Matt wanted to rest. One battle down, another to join the very next day. On top of that, he would have known Richard had questions for him that were hard to answer.

Nobody would have held it over Matt if he took a well deserved nap on one of the library's comfortable couches and refused to move for an entire day. The Librarian would just place a blanket over him.

For Matt, I have picked decorative paper so he can wrap himself and be presented to Lord Chaos, the King of the Old Ones. Matt comes with scissors that can be used to cut him, his punishment for hurting my master. For added flair, I've designed the gift wrap with the little stars the Gatekeepers love so much. I can't wait for my lord to unwrap Matthew Freeman on Christmas Day.

For Pedro

For Scott.

For dear Scott, I have picked out a designer fur jacket with a toy syringe to remind him to consider which side he is truly on. If he picks Matt, then I shall take his new jacket from him and give him the real syringe and start his conditioning all over again. Choose wisely, Scott!

For Jamie

For dear Jamie, I got him a wanted poster to remind him of the time my company, Nightrise, created our own manhunt for him after framing him for murder. What a beautiful time this was for Jamie.

For Scarlett

What to get the weakest and most pointless Gatekeeper? An umbrella. Maybe she can hide under it when she predicts rain. The bright colours will help my people see her when she visits Hong Kong again.

For Mr Chairman

The chairman of Nightrise doesn't need this; he is already a brilliant man, but a truly useful gift can't hurt.

For Lord Chaos

I got him all 5 Gatekeepers and... "what is this? These are books? I meant the actual Gatekeepers and you give me books? Do you think I can hand the King of the Old Ones some books? You will hang for this!" My servents are useless! I asked for all 5 Gatekeepers and they bring me books!

I hope my guide has been informative and helpful. You can't really go wrong with gift giving. Your co-workers shouldn't force you to resign (read: End yourself in shame) for gifting the wrong thing, however in my company, that is exactly what is expected. Happy Christmas everybody,

Scarlett: I just want to see my friends smile, but if you can get me chocolate, I will be happy with that too.

Matt: You could get me new trust, as you broke the last one.

It’s been a while since I made anything for the Po5 and I decided to make some sketches of them last night.

I only had enough energy for four of them but I like how they turned out, especially Scar. Hoping I can get back into this series

“So, did you murder someone in your family too.”

I had the idea of making this after I made like a doodle version of Jamie and younger Michael doing the Spider-Man meme.

I like how Jamie turned out but not a big fan of how baby Michael turned out, just how it is I guess.

But yeah, have two murderous baby clowns.

Also yes, I did make a tiny portrait of Myers family, it was surprisingly easy and difficult.

Also excuse my horrid handwriting, I don’t write so well.

I didn’t expect to like these so much but I do and I think they turned out cute.

Didn’t want to do anything to complex, just simple and fun that I could do in a span of an hour or two.
