ok, ok here are some of the most recent ones i've read, maybe they're for you too.

sometimes a man chooses mercy by artemis_red - lucerys survived and is now the heir to the throne his uncle sits on. he is captured, they meet again, and his uncle is different from the boy he remembers. bloodthirsty and violent and cruel in new ways, but merciful in others.

(i really admire the way the author writes and characterises aemond and luke and all the interactions between them. extra points for the final scene...)

flower that saw summer by garmr - civil war is set into motion, and aemond abandons his post to abduct his nephew. his obsession easily masquerades as affection, for a time, until the facade comes down.

lucerys never recovers.

(i can't prepare you for it... i love love love love love love love x1 000 000 this story - how the author writes aemond's obsession is *unique* he is sadistic, cruel, hypocritical and horrible.)

strange angels by marmiel - lucerys waters is orphaned at a young age and sent to live at the king's opera house, a renowned theater where rumors are plentiful. a concerned voice calls to lucerys only at night and begins to teach him about music, becoming a bit too possessive of the boy. as lucerys matures, he learns more of the lies that surround his origins, and his "guardian angel" reaches a point of obsession too deep for either of them to return from.

(i didn't want to put wips here, but this author has such a natural talent for writing lucemond. claimed by the sea is a modern au inspired by cmbyn and it's one of my favorites. take a look)

hamartia by hypothesistest - aemond's life is defined by faith, self-denial, and more shame than he would like to admit. when lucerys visits king's landing for the first time in seven years, aemond discovers the force of full desire. all aemond's resolve melts away under the summer sun, leaving only lust and some questionable decisions.

(aemond struggling with religious guilt is always a pleasure to read, esp when the author develops it in such a beautiful and harrowing way.)

hamrammr by garmr - jacaerys has lost his ancestral seat. on his path in exile, he encounters a group of berserkers, led by a man they call cregan. In his company, jacaerys learns the thrill of the hunt, the blood rituals of a bygone age, and that only revenge can truly sate a man.

(OBSESSED with this story. so elegant writing, delightful slow burn, incredible characterization. the sexual tension between jace and cregan.... dying. also, i'm learning a lot about norse culture. everything about hamrammr is fascinating)
