Day+17 and it is farm animals for breakfast. Buddy well and truly has his appetite back for proper food, he has wanted to join in with @emma_knights17 and I eating breakfast and has demolished lunch and dinner the last couple of days. We are seeing our pre-hospital Buddy again. Our little 🦁 is back. Today marks 4 months that Buddy has been an inpatient at @greatormondst . It is fair to say we have had our highs and our lows while we have been here but one thing is for sure the doctors and nurses have been fantastic both on Pelican and Fox Ward. Buddy has celebrated his 1st Birthday with the biggest monkey balloon and then had a new cells birthday just a few months later, he has learnt to stand and crawl all while being here as well chemo and a bone marrow transplant. But most importantly he has smiled and laughed all the way through it. His strength and bravery is second to none 🦁. For the first time since the 22nd June, the doctors and nurses said Buddy could leave his room and the hospital ward for his hour off the TPN - so that’s exactly what we did. We went for a walk around the local square and took an outside family photo.
