Artist Statement: “Rising” This movie is amazing, and animation is just 👌 The title of this piece says it all, and I’ve seen reviews for this movie saying Miles is not falling but rising. Based of one of the movie posters, I added little details in the background of skateboarding silhouettes requested by my client and some spider webs. Sorry for the long hiatus, if you haven’t seen my previous post. I am back in University and its been quite an interesting experience, considering that its all online for this semester. Been homesick a bit too, missing my family, friends and Ohana 783. Artist Statement “Find your Happily Ever After” A gift/commissioned piece! Fun fact: Visiting WDW for the first time in Magic Kingdom, it just didn’t hit me until the Happily Ever After fireworks show. I ended up crying my eyes out, while filming the show on my brother’s phone! This piece highlights the red, gold and blue castle design for the finale of the show! “I know every mile, will be worth my while” I have currently stopped my commissions for a reason, I have been accepted in one of the top Art Schools in Canada! Artist Statement: “Webber’s Masterpieces” Wow it has been a long time since I’ve done a full set of broadway musicals! And best of all, they are all the works of Andrew Lloyd Webber! The newest piece I’ve done is based of Jesus Christ Superstar, I showcased the original logo onto the back ground. Artist Statement: Glass Key This year Walt Disney’s Cinderella celebrated its 70 years. To commemorate, Disney Store released a Limited Edition Key on March 7. Long story short, I slept through my alarm and did not get the key. 🤪But it got me thinking of recreating the key but into a glass form. So here is the result, after 1.5 hours work (painting time only) to prep myself to start my other commissions tomorrow. Artist Statement: “Enchanted Rose” Amid all this pandemic business, I haven’t got to thank my Assistant Manager at the Disney Store who is off to her new journey. Thank you @jdsaunders102 I wanted to gift her something unique and thought about the Disney Store opening ceremony key! Artist Statement: The Sound of Music Wow haven’t posted in a while, but here’s one back from Christmas last year. The Sound of Music holds a special place in my heart, it’s the first musical that I’ve watched with my siblings. This piece consists of the iconic Julie Andrews spin (Prelude: The Sound of Music). I wanted to feature the mountains, the green grass and if its not that obvious the hidden guitar. I included the Von Trapp family children, silhouetted in the background singing the musical number Do, Re, Mi. Artist Statement: Evil Regal My second piece completing this diptych with the Mistress of Evil. None other than the Evil Queen, or as Oncers know her as Regina Mills. I wanted to depict her as if she came out from the book (bottom left) showing her castle, her apple tree, the magic mirror, and of course the poison apple. Artist Statement: Mistress of Evil Who’s excited for Maleficent:The Mistress of Evil? 🙋‍♂️ This piece is based of the first movie, which centralized on Maleficent’s curse that she gifted to Aurora. I wanted to feature her thorns but also include the Land of the Moors. I painted her with her wings on the top left, which is her happy ending. This piece also glows in the dark! Beneath the tower of the Four Winds, we start a wonderful voyage along the seven seaways of the world... This piece features one of Walt Disney’s most beloved ride, it’s a small world. I wanted to showcase the different Disney parks in each canvas, starting from the left with Disneyland Paris, the middle the original Disneyland, and on the right Tokyo Disneyland (combined with Epcot and Space Mountain from WDW). I am trying to get over a break up 😩 .... from Orlando and Disney World 😅 This piece has gone through a lot and finishing it is just 🙏 This piece is painted from a black canvas background, and having this much pigment from the yellows to red was difficult but a learning experience for me. Who is watching @rentonfox ?🙋‍♂️ Art speaks for itself, and from all your teachers, art tells a thousand words. This is my one and only piece(for now) with the title of the musical on the canvas. I want my pieces to speak for itself, thats why it doesn’t have the title. This gives my audience their input, their experience and memories from the show.
