Crack the Sky

This storm was one for the books. Lightning that seemed never ending, torrential rains, & thunder that sounded like the God's were walking on ice in the sky. I was toying around with the Bulb setting on my camera when I captured this. I may have unlocked a new obsession.

People unfortunately out here being shady .. at least I wasted their time for 6+ months

People pretending to be something they are not on the internet is nothing new but I recently had a funny experience with a scammer...

I was contacted by @individualguiide claiming to be an artist. They were nice at first and I didn't think much of it. They claimed they wanted to use some of my pictures as inspiration for an art piece...

At first everything was fine. But when it came time to be real it got weird. Of course, since they are not a real artist they sent me a fake counterfeit cheque for $900. Their story was clearly bullshit. They wanted me to keep my cut of $150 and send them the rest back. Obviously that doesn't make any sense and asked them to explain it. My bank flagged it right away. They proceeded to ask me to buy apple cards and send pictures of them even though the cheque didn't go through. They claimed nothing was wrong with the cheque and that on their end it showed the money was deposited. Impossible because it wasn't just a bad cheque or a simple mistake. It was COUNTERFEIT...

The whole time I was playing dumb while still making it very clear there was something wrong with the check. I gave them every chance to fix it and kept trying to do business with them while not giving them what they wanted. I dragged it on for weeks while my bank did their investigation...

Finally I messaged the scammer yesterday one last time because I got bored of them. I called them out for not only being fake but not even being a good scammer. Only then did they block me hahahah. Loser. Not once did they ever apologize for the troubles or call me over face time to prove they were real. I even asked them to subscribe to my youtube. They said they would but of course didn't...

The funny thing is if they spent their time more wisely they might actually make a living. People like that can only pretend to be more talented than they are because they have no real talent. I knew their story was bullshit but I was even open minded to the idea they were laundering or maybe were a refugee who needed to protect their money so that the government wouldn't take it. Something. Anything legit. It's funny because they could have been legit in so many other ways and gotten my help. Even if it was shady business I don't give a fuck. I'll deliver the package without looking inside it. But no. Just a loser wishing they were someone who could get paid to be someone else. I even tried to counter scam them but the money was simply non exsistent...

There is no way they are successful either because there were so many red flags that no one or their banks would let that shit fly these days. So they just spent 3 weeks trying to milk me for $750 bucks and I made more than that in a week by being myself and wasting their time. Muahahahahah...

This Coronal Aurora event was what turned me into a true Aurora chaser. Nothing else seems to matter when you're waiting for the sky to open, and this happens. Greens, reds, purples. I'm officially obsessed.

Fall of 2023, I went to Nova Scotia for some nature adventure & family time. These are some of the single exposure night photographs I took with my Canon7D. It was addicting to be out in such silence, in the dead of night. This was a major fear facing time for myself, and the darkness was truly intoxicating.
