I have been out of it so much recently. Just feeling brain dead. Then this came to me out of the blue. I have been using the image from Fanboys Comic ( http://fanboys-online.com/ search for it if you want to see it, it’s been taken off the site) for so long that I think it’s time for me to finally do my own. Particularly since I’ve been asked a couple times now why Dee Dee is wearing black face. Now I have to get a Noh Mercy from somewhere…

Well here is day 5, mermaid. I’m off schedual at this point as this one took roughly 3.5 hours but I put off part of the day and had several restarts on this one. I really like how it turned out though and may have to revisit it for coloring. I don’t like fish. Let me make this clear, I REALLY don’t like fish. They make good food but I don’t find them pretty or any of that. So this gal I based off of orcas instead. Here she is catching a sealion, typical food for them and good for pelts among other things to trade with dry landers. It thought it can sneak in for some spare fish while her two companions net them up.

So after taking the weekend off I took a lot of time to consider this one and this is what came out. I can’t tell you how difficult this was. I had no idea when I started how hard it would be and I spent so much time working on trying to make sure I got things right between the mirror and the subject. Oh for those who haven’t worn wigs, she is wearing a wig cap which helps hold them on and keep the skin from touching the inside. Sadly some of the compression lost the detail but I still have the full size. Don’t know if I’m going to upload it or not. I may come back to this one later to do more work on it. But right now I have about 4-5 hours into it.

This was a real tough one for me. I spent a good part of the day trying to work out what I’m going to do. At first I thought I’d actually go for something more realistic but decided to stick to my traditional cartoony style. Looking at references though the Minecraft inspired slime hat just looked too cute though so I had to go with it. about 2.5-3 hours. This gal, even though she doesn’t really have bones, organs, or anything else we’d recognize in mammalian life forms she still likes to show off “muscles”. Being a slime she can adjust her figure, shape, and proportions as she wishes to a degree and is mimicking humanoids. I decided the shard in her head is actually her though. The mind and personality. Ascending a mindless slime into something more. It doesn’t have to be in her head though, she can move it anywhere in her body, just sporting it there as a style choice. If someone was to take it out the body would just return to being your normal every day slime form and an angry magic crystal would be in your hands.

Here we have an activist trying to raise awareness for non-human rights. She may have a kind face but will not take kindly to anyone referring to her as a “monster” or anything like that. Not much to say beyond that. 2 hours 30 minutes. Much faster this time for this sketch then the last. Couldn’t say why with out reviewing the video. I do plan on posting some time lapses of these though.

Just under 4 hours with break to get to this point. Drive kinda piddle out after that and the exercise is to just get myself to drawing every day again. So here is Day 1. Ever get into a game and somebody is just screeching over the mic? Well This Harpy isn’t that bad but like many Harpies she does tend to agitate easily.

Tazel taking a break after work to stretch out in hir typical hextaur form. Shi found hirself a new friend while out. After talking a bit with the shorter centaur, a subtle knee under the equine tail and between the thighs, paw on one of the forelegs, a hand at the sensitive join between equine and human torso, and the tip of the tail touching the spine in hopes the centaur would be up for some private stress relief. After a recent comment on my other sketch of my still unnamed centaur I thought I would do a sketch of the two together. Brain kinda ran out of steam. Might come back to it again later as with most of my drawings.

Messy sketch, 30 minutes. Just a my nameless ‘taur gal relaxing on a couch or love seat. I’ve had so many images running through my mind I need to get down on “paper” but my brain is so fractured that nothing solidifies, so the second my brain latches on to something enough that I can get it down I got to do it quickly. This gal here, I picture her a bit short as centaurs go. Centaurs in mind would be smaller build than normal horses when measuring to the shoulder but still a bit taller than humans. Not much though.

Reblogging updated version.

ere we have Pinkie Pie’s sister Mauve getting dressed in the morning before she heads off to Ponyville to see her sister. This picture originally started out just as a study of muscular female backs but I just kept working on it for some reason. Couldn’t say why. Which begs the question,”When is a sketch no longer a sketch?” I played around with a lot of things in this, shadowing techniques, brushes, and so on to try to get my lines to no longer have that “sketchy” quality when inking. It’s getting better but still isn’t there yet. Some anatomy issues too but nothing to bad I guess. I picture Mauve as being buff and cut under that dress simply because anyone who can toss boulders like they are nothing and punch boulders 5 times her size into dust bare handed with lightning fast reflexes has to be built.
May need to F5, I added her cutie mark after seeing

Face practice of a muletaur character I came up with out of no where. I kinda like her big expressive ears, goofy nose, and big teeth.
