Misc Texture Overrides

Here are some of my favorit overrides that don't really fit any category :)

CC Wrench Override

I am not a fan of the default cc wrench, so I usally get an override. Unfortunatly my favorit hasn't been updated. Luckily I found this adorable Butterfly override by ERosetta_sims.

Standstill in CAS

I personally am not a fan of my Sims moving around in CAS, but also feel like most stand still mods feel a bit unnatural. So @blackpanda-ts4 s Standstill CAS Mod was simply perfect for me. The stand still poses are diffrent for every age group and male young adult / adults poses are diffrent from female young adults / adults.

Hand placement tuning

I kinda feel like the default EA Hand placement when giving my Sims nails or bracelets is a little awkard. So thats why I use northern siberia winds Hands close up from the Controlled position Mod (It is the 2nd file and works with most Stand Still mods) It also works for all Ages.

CAS Lightning

There are a bunch of awesome CAS lightning mods out there. My personal favorit is called "CAS Lighting “CITYLIGHT” 🌃" was made by @simplyanjuta . I just love how it brings some depth to my Sims, kind of like a really subtle 3D-Effect. Thid creator also made a bunch of other beautiful cas lightning mods.

CAS Infant Pillow Override

I feel like the default Infant pillow is a little plain. As someone who adores colors and patterns I just had to get Simbeeez adorable Boppy Pillow Infant CAS Prop (I use the bubble shapes)

More Columns in CAS

This one is such an essential Mod for me. I personally feel like 2 columns for so many CAS Items is just not comfortable to scroll through. I usually go for 3 or 4 columns depending on how much cc I have or with which packs I play. For Cats & Dogs 4 coloumns are slightly too wide for my screen, so I prefer 3. Also this mod will need updates quite often but weerbesu is super fast when it comes to updating this mod!

CAS Background Overrides

Here are some of my favorit Sims 4 CAS Backgrounds :)

If you want something basic but add a little bit of spice you gotta check out vyxated's Reflection Background. If you want you can also get a matching cas lightning mod (not applied in my pictures, check out the creators post to see the lightning effect). It comes in diffrent gray scales.

For CAS Backgrounds with a little bit of clutter, I always really liked ellcrze's mods. However this creators blog has been deleted. There is however this archive where you can find the reuploads of the CAS Backgrounds. I love the moving day and attic rooms.

Similar CAS rooms which are very detailed can by found in the CAS Background Collection by thatonegreenleaf . My favorit is the pride room that comes with diffrent flags. I choose the asexual one, since I am ace :)

My current favorit CAS Background is the Grunge CAS Background by simmersed. This creator also has a bunch more of cool CAS Backgrounds.

Map Overrides

Here are some of my favorit Map Overrides for the Sims 4 :)

If you want something Maxis Match and true to the game 20th Century Plumbob has created a bunch of Map Overrides true to the games actual surroundings. There are also several options such as a night version for SanMyShuno. It is also ongoing!

For those who are looking for more hyper realistic map replacements, might enjoy Mama-Llama's Maps Collection as for now (June 2025) there aren't as many Maps but they are all very high quality.

And for those who enjoy handdrawn maps, recently DerShayan (& Angel Adrián Treviño) have updated the Map Collection for newer worlds! Hooray! Willow Creek also has some seasonal versions. (As of June 2025 the collection doesn't have all maps just yet)

Splash Screen & Video Overrides

Here are some of my favorite Sims 4 Splash Screen & Video Overrides :)

If you didn't know - the Splash Screen and the Splash Video are actually not the same. First the "Intro" plays and then follows the Splash Screen Picture.

Splash Video

You can either get rid of it by getting the No Intro Mod by Simser der Deutschen

or

You can get a slightly more aesthetic Intro & Splash Screen Overrides from Simsiboy. (I liked Version 2 the best)

Splash Screens

vyxated created some UI mods but made the splash screens also available as optional downloads. So if you don't feel like getting a whole ui overhaul just download the Splash Screen from e.g. Sims 2 inspired UI or the Chalk'd UI

My favorit Splash Screens are from the opening screen override set by @honeymoonsimmer. I use the cozy Splash Screen but they have a bunch more of beautiful Splash Screens.

Font Overrides

Here are some of my favorite font overrides for the sims 4 :) The first 2 fonts are inspired by Life is strange thus the name Life is Strange Font Collection and were created by Moonwoodmillz.

I especially like futurahandwritten and duducalligraphy

Moonwoodmillz also created the HelvetiHand Font Replacement, which is slightly more neat but still very similar to the life is strange font set.

If you want something more nostalgic, thepancake1 and MizoreYukii made 3 replacements with the fonts used in the Sims, the Sims 2 and the Sims 3! (The Sims 1, 2 and 3 Font Replacements)

Loading Screen Overrides

Here are some of my favorite loading screens for the sims 4 :)

If you are looking for a simple, new background replacer: I would reccomend Katverse's Henford-on-Bagley loading screens (I used Background XI) or Debbiepearl's More Town Loading Screens (I used SanMysunoNight).

IMPORTANT! You will need this LOADING SCREEN PLUMBOB-FIX by vyxated for these replacers to work!!!

If you are looking for something a little more fancy and modern, I really like Simsiboy's SimOrphic Loading Screen. It feels like an update version of the sims 4 background with randomized backgrounds!

My current favorit loading screen background is the Seasonscape (Dynamic Loading Screen) also by Simsiboy. As the name suggest the loading screen changes based on you local time and season in real life.

Main Menu Overrides

Here are some of my favorite Main Menu Overrides.

If you just want a replacement for the boring Main Menu, I can highly recommend Vinny Lately's Main Menu Replacements. Part 1 / Part 2

The Main Menu Replacement reflects one neighbourhood of your choosing. Here are some examples. Strangerville from part 1 and Glimmerbrook from part 2.

If you are looking for something more minimalistic without any of the news and want to not show your current household, Simsiboy's Minimalistic Main Menu might be for you!

The Main Menu Backgrounds are randomized on loading.

If you want to costumize your Main Menu I'd recommend SimMattically's Refreshed Main Menu - you can mix and match which Backgrounds you want in your game, how your current houshold is shown and the logo art. It also comes with a bunch of key commands to hide the news, your household or reroll the current background.
