In short, to plagiarize means to steal someone else’s idea or part of work and use it as your own. But why exactly it is considered to be so bad and immoral? And it is really considered immoral and a serious offense. In case a sample plagiarized essay is discovered, it may lead to very unpleasant consequences; the higher the position of the offender is, the more unpleasant they are.
There are two major kinds of harm plagiarism causes. First, it is something as simple as stealing and lying – you just steal someone else’s work and trick somebody into believing it was you who had written it, which is as immoral as any other kind of theft is. It means that somebody had actually spent time and effort in order to create something, while you did nothing but ripping it off and submitting it.

Article about the media is the message
Media is in our daily lives. It’s everywhere we turn from the things we read to the things we watch. Everything that we see as a form of media has a message they are trying to convey to us, whether it’s selling us something or getting us to believe something and sometimes it’s both at the same time. The way these media providers present it has changed dramatically through the decades. Technology has been a huge influence on media. Marshall McLuhan makes the argument that the “medium is the message” in his paper The Medium is the Message.

Essay#1value of being a media and information literate individual
As our technology and media advance, our roles and jobs must advance and evolve also. The best value is the idea of becoming a source. A source of information and able to translate the info through the media. The value lies in your audience, ultimately. I think this role is critical as society shifts away from past sources and uses technology as a source instead. And, most importantly, it does not negate the human role.I think being a media and information literate individual has enormous value - one becomes a resource and a translator of current info into media or possesses a keen understanding of the info in the media and is able to work with others using or sharing info.Literacy on any level is key and valuable.
