An experience which helps me unwind and perhaps connect with myself. My drawings emerge out of an obsessive, repetitive, meditative space. They surface from gridded substructures and find their source within the visual manifestation of the 'Om' syllable. The process of creating or not creating (I think they 'happen') and the time spent in their making is the provenance of bringing back a renewed stream of energy which directs and guides my design practice. The drawings happen when I am less conscious and more spontaneous. They come from some internal source which I think I connect to while experiencing and expressing through the act of drawing. The 'now' in the 'then' act of making them seems to be the inspiration.
