A Safaris Out of Africa or a delusion?

Let it be in the movies or in documentaries that show wild life in their natural habitat when you think of Africa an excitement flows in your veins and to some it brings fear of the unknown. The fact is that an African safari will literally teleport you from modern world to the old world where you can see every wild animal roam the savannas in freedom. Not only is it an amazing touch that leaves you speechless, it is arguably one of the most exciting experiences that someone can take

An African safari are generally filled with wide open spaces, fresh air, and surrounded by the beauty of nature yet it is true that African safaris require a lot of preparation and some good money in order to turn out magical.

On one of our farm trip Safaris with one of our main suppliers, he told me a story of a new trend developing and has been so adapted in the after days of   COVID-19. A trend where some travelers have resorted to going to simulation places that look like Africa with animals from Africa and have a feel of the real safaris.   From his point of view this group of people were   looking for a way to avoid the hassle of getting a passport, getting extra immunizations, and dealing with all the other details of a safari, then making them resort to looking closer to home and find similar experiences.

These groups resorted to theme parks; an experience meant to make them believe that you can have safaris while out of Africa, enjoying some of the same sights for less. Most of these places are in the United States and these places include:

Disney's Animal Kingdom

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, you can get an experience of what is it is like to go on an African Safari. The focus on this theme park is animal conservation, the same as so many African wildlife reserves which have made modern safaris popular.

In this park, expect lodgings that try to replicate the feel of a true African safari lodge and enjoy seeing animals displayed in areas that mimic their natural environment. And for a simulated safari experience, the Kilimanjaro Safaris ride should work great, providing fun for the whole family.

Out Of Africa Wildlife Park

Located about 90 minutes from Phoenix, Arizona is the Out of Africa Wildlife Park, which also simulates an African reserve. Here, expect to see lions, panthers, and hyenas, all adding to a feel like you might get on real safaris while at Out of Africa Wildlife Park. Their Serengeti Safari tour promises peeks at zebra, giraffes, and wildebeests, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the many endangered species of Africa in a setting that’s much closer to home.

African Safari Wildlife Park

For those located in the northern part of the United States, the African Safari Wildlife Park, located a short drive west of the famous Cedar Point amusement park. The 100 acres of wildlife preserve, featuring giraffes, zebras, and warthogs will give you the first insight of what it feels like to be on a real safari in the African continent.

Although these theme parks would love to convince the public that they actually experiencing the same African Safari, the truth is that this simulation that doesn’t come close to the real safaris. We must agree that the real African safaris on the African savannas is an experience which is priceless.

Africa is Africa you only need to be there to feel its magic. We can only advise travelers to go to these places for educational purposes and getting the nerves down when planning out their next vacation to the real home of safaris and that’s the African continent. We totally agree that these theme parks are a great source when it comes to conservation awareness and all projects done here down in Africa but we can’t share the same idea that they will serve the same purpose and also give traveler satisfaction that is derived from going on a real African Safaris.
