Kakyoin x Artist! Reader (headcanons)

I made this for Garou so ofc I have to make one for Kakyoin those two have my heart sjsjsjsvjs I had this idea for a while but I finally managed to spend some time to write it lol

Note: of course the term ‘artist’ encapsulates many areas, but here I wrote headcanons for a reader that does mostly visual arts!

-Times where your eyes bore witness to his stunning paintings were countless

-Ever since the very beginning, when you two had just started becoming close you knew of his talent for the visual arts

-The way you cutely and curiously stared at the way every single brush stroke of his worked its way on the canvas put a light shade of pink and smile on his face

-It’s not uncommon for others to admire his works (and of course he feels proud of them too), but your comments and sweet words were far too endearing

-Now, when he found out you too had a love for art after showing some of your own works?

-Mesmerized is an understatement

-He may not be jumping around the room with excitement (like a certain lovable Frenchman would), but he was absolutely (and visibly) enthralled

-After struggling to take his gaze off your beautiful painting, he turned to you with a cheerful glint in his eyes

-Looked like a kid who just got a surprise present

-Though, speaking truthfully- finding out about your artist side was really like a gift delivered to him

-Expect a lot of praise (even if you happen to dislike that artwork he’s bombarding you with compliments whether you like it or not)

-And the best part is… They’re all 100 percent honest

-That’s the way he is, an honest man like him would call something ugly by its rightful name without hesitation, and when it comes to your artwork there’s absolutely no ugliness in sight

-And it’s not just “wow this looks awesome!”, but rather each sentence has carefully picked words, each reflecting on what he noticed and admires about the art piece

-Says it so charmingly and delightfully you feel your face becoming red

-Now that he knows about all this it’s like a whole new array of possibilities opened before you

-Painting dates!

-Yes, why would you go out for movies when you can stay in and paint together? (both is cool ofc)

-Imagine; you two listening to your favorite songs (maybe even singing included if you went along with it first) while sunshine peaks through the window onto your canvas

-Or just having relaxing convos and painting on a rainy day, occasionally pausing to hear the sound of the raindrops falling

-In general he’s the type to like peaceful dates, just enjoying each other’s presence. And the silence is never awkward, trust me

-Also you two share paint and brushes regularly

-He probably has the most handy and high quality ones too, so don’t hesitate to ask because he’ll be more than happy to give you some

-Though, he would playfully tease you and call you silly names if you often forgot about your own painting kits bc he just has to
