4. What's a hobby they used to have that they miss? Ascuas smiles at this as she thinks about it. "Going out and collecting berries, roots and herbs. It was so much fun looking for them. You get to see new things all the time. Every land is different, a dry dessert to a lush forest." Her small then slowly fades and she looks away. Her ears drooped slowly as the memories entered her mind. "I.... I can't do it anymore without....Without thinking about... him."

Ascuas rubs the back of her neck with a chuckle. "Gentle love of course. Among my people we are not afraid to show affection. It can be your parents, siblings, or the rest of your clan. We normally do this with nuzzling and grooming." She then chuckles at a thought. "When Gunmar and I reunited, I tried to nuzzle him but I accidentally knocked him down. I had to learn to be even more gentle with him and our little ones. It warms my heart when Gunmar nuzzles me back too."

Ascuas looked away from Gunmar. “I’m going to out live you.” She says, her voice weavers at this.

Gunmar rolls his eyes at this. “I’m only getting old-“

She turns to him, tears in her eyes. “I have barely aged, Gunmar!” It was true, she did look young. Even though she was roughly the same age as him. Ombrés aged slowly compared to the rest of trollkind.

He eyes his love before gently headbutts her. “Then you better hurry up and grow old with me, Desert Dragon.”

She smiles softly at him, pushing her worries down. “I’ll do my best, Big Dummy. I love you.”

Gunmar stared up at the night sky. He had spent so long in the Darklands he almost forgot about them. He let a wheezing sound. If Ascuas was here she would either tease him or force him to sit.

He closed his eye, stopping the tear from shedding. When did it all go wrong? Ascuas was meant to grow old with him. Cuddles under a willow tree as their great grandcubs played near by.

He opens his eye and growls lowly. He can’t waste thinking about what should have been. He has humans to slay and lands to reclaim.
